No noise, lights going off and on over orange Grove, hovered silently then preceeded across freeway and disappeared very rapidly

Saw the lights from my car, coming home from grocery shopping, with my 5-6 yo child in car front seat; pulled to side of road and stood inside door opening to see better. 3 VERY large ships, triangular in shape, hovering above an orange Grove, somewhat rural area. Lights from the bottom of ships, mainly one, would shine on the Grove, move slightly then shine again , as if searching for something. NO NOISE. I was scared, but glued to my spot. I stood watching, in awe, as they finally turned off the lights and started slowly moving towards the freeway; passed over the busy freeway, and then rapidly disappeared. No wind, no noise. HUGE metal looking ships with round light holes in the bottom. Very close to the ground, maybe 50-100 feet.
