three ufo's hovered watching my friends and I play street hockey for I don't know how long in 1971 or 72

When I was 9 years old, I was playing street hockey in the evening under the street lights with a group of friends. It was a foggy summer night and the street lights had a halo surrounding them from the fog.

For no particular reason that I could explain, I stopped and looked up. Above us about 8 stories up were 3 round disc shaped ufo's, hovering watching us playing hockey. My guess is they were about 5 to 6 foot in diameter they gave off a dull light and were surrounded by halos just like the street light.

They had what looked like the letter X which covered most of the bottoms of their ships. These X's were a light gray or a duller light. When I looked up they sat there for about 10 secs. then one of them started to fly off slowly. Then the other 2 followed. As they flew away they bounced like a rock skipping on water and with no sound down our street.
