Officer at the MO Highway Patrol relayed a report: On Saturday night, 13JA96, at 2022 hrs. (local), a citizen witnessed a "meteor" traveling to the northeast. It was brighter than the street lights nearby, and its apparent size was equal to a 25-cent piece, held at arm's length.

Source reports that there were over 60 reports of UFO sightings made in the Springfield, MO, area on 13JA96 and 14JA96.
