It almost appeared to be a plane in the distance, but it was dropping so quickly, as if on purpose. Then it leveled out, began to fly straight for probably 2 seconds, then quickly dove towards the ground again as if to land.

It was moving way to quickly to be an air plane, and it's abrupt up and down movements could never be made by a man made aircraft. It was just a white light.
