I’ve been checking this site regularly for years! This update is great! Love the title page picture.

I opened NUFORC today as I frequently do, and I love the new look for the New Year! Peter Davenport is a friend of many years and I remain in awe of his dedication to documenting and posting the High Strangeness that people continue to experience everywhere. But I salute the Webmaster, more especially now.
I am now 70 and have been chasing the UFO Mystery for about half that long. I can’t help but be nostalgic for a moment. Sometime in 1977,I was a young plainclothes MP Investigator taking a break at the main MP Station and chatting with the Desk Sergeant. I looked down at the glass-topped desk and more closely at the various card beneath. One in particular caught his eye – National UFO Reporting Center – (206) 722-3000. I asked the Sergeant about the NUFORC business card and he replied, “That is where we report UFOs.” Flash forward to early 1987, and the famous UFO sighting by JAL Pilot Terauchi was on national news channels. I called the NUFORC number and it was answered by the founder, Robert Gribble. I told him I didn’t want to report a UFO; I wanted to know how I could help. I soon became a member of the WA State MUFON group based in Seattle. The man behind the scenes always working to make the meetings possible and helping the State Directors, Larry and Marilyn Childs, was Peter Davenport, who accepted the torch when Robert Gribble retired. Thank you, Peter, for all the work you on behalf of everyone who wonders about the UFO Mystery.

While videotaping a fireworks display in Delray Beach Florida on New Year’s Eve, we saw what appears to be a UFO. We have a fairly good video of it.

Where do I find the archives for reference purposes?

    1. Christian

The archives are offline for now. We will be migrating them to the new site over the next few months.

  6. Jessie

I love the redesign! It looks good and its easy to navigate.

  7. Tom

Are you going to be posting and new videos Peter?

  8. Philo Bedo

Great site, (love the redesign). You are doing critically important work. Keep it up.

  9. Brian

I like the new layout, How soon can expect the next batch of reports?

  10. Christian

New reports are posted approximately monthly.

  11. Sandra

My husband and I love to set outside at night and watch for anomalies and have actually seen a number of them.

    1. GARY

YEAH SAW 3 HUGE TRIANGLES WITHIN 10 MINS OF EACH OTHER DOING a RE ENTRY PROFILE ONE LOOKED LIKE IT WAS I TROUBLE

  12. Francis

I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your website. I’m from Canada (Quebec) and I’m really happy to see that such a great website is available in case of a UFO sighting. Thanks for your work!!

  13. Jen B

I agree with everyone, love the new layout! I haven’t logged on in a while, and what a nice suprise to see. Easierto navigate as well. Thank you!

  14. Luz Maria Rodriguez

    Beautiful and intriguing opening page.
    Great work. Thank you.

I’m hoping that the new website design, and once the database migration is done, it will be able to include any pictures and/or video submitted. I recently submitted my UFO sighting with pictures that are similar, if not exactly, as the ones shared in the 2020 Documentary THE PHENOMENON. There I learned about Case 47. The Great Falls, Montana UFO sighting caught on video on 15 August 1950. Even more fascinating to me was the fact that my sighting was also in August, 70 yrs later!

  16. Steve B

Yes a more modern and fresh style for your site, looks good. Maybe you could add reports from around different parts of the world that is in the newspapers, use of a news aggregator as a suggestion. Keep up the good work!

My husband was a geodetic surveyor doing a check survey on a Minuteman silo at the far north end of Vandenberg AFB in early 1967 when something approached a different icbm silo coming in from the ocean low and slow. It hovered over the silo. The site was lit up so brightly that AP Headquarters back at the main base thought there had been a launch at that silo. There had been none, it was the visitor.

    1. Mike Miller

Wow that’s interesting. It’s amazing how many nuclear missile bases not only here in the U.S. but in all other countries have been not only visited..but shut down and reactivated BY the visitors. My hope..God forbid..is if a nuclear exchange ever started..it would be stopped by the visitors. They seem to be more concerned about our welfare than we are. I belive we are dealing with multidimensional entities with advanced technology 1000 years ahead of us. Perhaps nuclear testing and explosions disrupt different dimensions in ways we cannot understand.

      1. Michael Seawright

I’m sorry to tell you but the “visitors” are not your friends and will gladly facilitate your demise. It’s nothing but wishful thinking to believe otherwise and it’s flat out ignorance that has allowed the enemy to overtake so many lives without recourse.

The people have a right to know everything especially considering the enemy attacks without provocation and with little to no concern for the lives of human beings. They also attack silently and without being noticed.

          1. Luz Maria Rodriguez

We (our previous circle of acquaintances at certain AF bases) know for certain of some of these visits having physically witnessed them.

Question: assuming the reports of our icbms being shut down are true and, assuming the reports from Russia of some of their icbms being triggered are true, what is the implication, if any, of these two events, i.e., turning our’s off while turning Russia’s on?

What was the message of these two acts?
            Was a bias displayed?
            What was the message?

If the implication is, indeed, correct, it appears shocking and not a little frightening.

            Curious in retirement.

  18. Robert Deavers

When will the list be updated for Pennsylvania? There haven’t been any reports listed since December of last year.

  19. Mike Miller

Ummm…to what ” attacks ” are you referring to? The aggressor is man. Since the advent of modern aircraft..we are the ones locking on to targets with missiles..chaseing them in dogfight fashion..with a general shoot first attitude. There has been no aircraft shot down or otherwise harmed intentionally that I’m aware of.

Yes both the U.S. and Russia missile silos have been shut down and reactivated. And nuclear ships and submarines have also had contact..but don’t know if any activation or deactivation in those cases occured. Seems they are very interested in our nukes and how they work. There was a case I read about where actual physical contact was made with a missle being serviced..and of course the Rendalsham forest incident. What is their intention? I don’t feel it’s sinister in any way. More like us observeing how a animal in nature lives and fights other animals. Shutting down a nations most powerful and dangerous weapon ever made is akin to takeing matches away from a 5 year old. We are dealing with multidimensional entities that are thousands of years more technically advanced than us. They may come from space..possibly our oceans..theoretically from different dimensions. It’s possible nuclear weapons affect those dimensions..it’s possible they know first hand from experience how dangerous they are..or its not inconceivable they are time travelers. Hopefully they are demonstrating that they won’t allow us to extinguish ourselves in a global nuclear war.

I was very intrigued by the comments made concerning the time and effort required by NUFORC to process and proofread the many reports that come in to the website. I imagine that very few people submitting reports will appreciate that it’s very time-consuming and requires a lot of attention to detail, to check spelling, usage and style, much less edit for unwanted or inappropriate content.

As a retired graphic artist and copywriter, I often can’t help but proofread as I go, when I read text both online and in print. There are a few typos here and there in the new format that I won’t go into in this post, but would be more than happy to discuss directly by email, if you have an interest in pursuing it.

The new format is clean, open, and easy to navigate. And a HUGE thank you for not setting body copy in ‘reverse’ type (what we used to call it back in the day), ergo, white text on a black background. Some designers might think it looks “cool”, but it’s hard on the eyes and becomes even harder to read after just a page or two. I Look forward to hearing from you!

  22. Lisa

How come you do not include where the sightings take place? Like city and state. I would love to know if anything is being seen in our city.

    1. Christian Stepien

Just go to the Data Bank, then Index by State, then find your state, then search the page (CTL-F) for your city name.
