NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2018

Our website, together with our database of sighting reports, has been updated, as of the date of this writing, December 14, with the posting of 78 recently submitted reports, received since the afternoon of Thursday, December 06th, 2018.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR THE UFO TELEPHONE HOTLINE

Peter Davenport, Director of NUFORC, is going to out of town for several days of travel, beginning on December 15, and will not be available for answering the UFO telephone Hotline over the Christmas Holiday.  However, he will monitor remotely telephone messages and e-mail during his travels.  Consequently, if you witness what you believe may have been an authentic UFO and would like to submit a report, we would like to encourage you to refrain from calling the Hotline, and instead, we would invite you instead to submit a detailed, written account of your sighting, using our Online Report Form, found elsewhere on this website.  We will then post your report to our database of sightings, although it may be 10-14 days before the next updating of the NUFORC website.

In closing, we would like to thank all those individuals who have shared their sightings with our Center over the past year, and we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, December 06, 2018

The NUFORC website has been updated, as of this date, with the addition of 36 new sighting reports to our database of sighting report.  We are operating under a bit of time pressure, so this update probably will be accompanied with a short statement on the homepage.

We highlight below a report that was submitted recently, and which included the graphic rendering to the right.

Seven Devils, North Carolina, Friday, November 30, 2018, @ 10:30 p.m. (Eastern): An adult male reports having witnessed what he believes was a very large, rectangular craft, with perhaps as many as a dozen peculiar lights on its ventral surface.  The witness likens the object to the shape of an “iPhone.”  The object suddenly accelerated, and shot off into the night sky.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24TH, 2018

We have updated our website, as of this date, with the posting of 143 newly submitted reports, received since Thursday afternoon, November 09th.  We apologize for the delay in posting the new material, but all of the NUFORC personnel have been preoccupied with pressing commitments, over recent weeks, which caused us to fall behind in updating the website.

Our Hotline is being inundated with prank telephone calls, and we suspect that some of the people who place those calls are also predisposed to submit prank reports.  Consequently, we always caution visitors to our site to be on the look-out for pranks reports.  We carefully read each report, before we clear them for posting, but we suspect that we are unable to detect and remove all the pranks that, tragically, seem to be submitted to our Center, on a regular basis.

Here are a few reports that caught our attention this week:

  • Fire Island (Long Island), New York, Sunday, November 03rd, 2018, @ 11:00 p.m. (EDT): A group of five adults become aware of a yellow-colored light that is hovering over the water of Long Island Sound, and casting what appears to be a pool of light on the surface.  The light suddenly streaks toward them, and is seen to split into two separate objects.  After a short period of time, the objects moved very quickly to the north, toward Long Island.   • Avenal, California, Monday, November 19, 2018, @ 10:45 a.m. (PST): An airline pilot and first officer report having witnessed a large, dark, object pass very close to their aircraft at very high speed.  They did not get a good look at it, but the pilot estimated it was much closer than the minimum distance of 1,000 feet, that is required under the U. S. Federal Aviation Regulations.  Witness Report

RADIO APPEARANCE

Peter Davenport, NUFORC Director, is scheduled to appear on NIGHT DREAMS TALK RADIO, whose new weekend host is Michael W. Hall, a.k.a. “The Paranormal Attorney.”  Peter is scheduled to appear at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) for 8-10 minutes, on Saturday night, November 24, 2018, and he will discuss some of the recent UFO sighting reports that have been posted to our site tonight.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 09, 2018

The NUFORC website has been updated as of this date, with the posting of 108 new sighting reports, received at our Center since Thursday afternoon, October 25th, 2018.

A few of the recent reports that caught our eye are the following:

  • Fire Island (Long Island), New York, Saturday, November 03, 2018, @ 11:30 p.m. (EDT): A group of five visitors to the beach all witness an object that seemed to project a yellow light down at the water.  The light suddenly became brighter, and then the source of the light suddenly “jumped” at the witnesses, passing overhead, and continuing to the north over Long Island.  Witness Report
  • Faison, North Carolina, Wednesday, November 07, 2018, @ 7:35 p.m. (EST): An adult male, who describes himself as having multiple university degrees, witnesses a very bright and large white light to the east of his vehicle, as he drove east on Interstate 40.  As he approached the light, he suddenly realize that it was mounted on a large, dark craft that appeared to be hovering almost motionless in the sky.  The driver then realized that there were two other similar looking craft hovering nearby.   • Tonawanda, New York, Thursday, November 08, 2018, @ 5:34 p.m. (EST): An adult male, who describes himself as a professional driver, alleges to have witnessed a spherical craft drop down out of solid (?) clouds, move very rapidly to the north, change its flight path across the sky, and then rise up again into the clouds.  Witness Report

RADIO APPEARANCES

Peter Davenport is scheduled to appear on the Coast to Coast AM radio program, hosted by George Noory, at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Pacific) on Friday night, November 09, 2018.  Peter will talk about the three cases above, and other reports, as well.

Peter will make an hour-long appearance on the Night Dreams Talk Radio program, with weekend host and “paranormal” attorney, Michael W. Hall, on Saturday night, November 10th, 2018,, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Pacific).  The program, broadcast over the internet, can be accessed here.

We will attempt to update the website again, during the upcoming weekend, with the posting of a few photos, which have been submitted recently to NUFORC.

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2018

We have updated our website, as of this date, with the posting of 50 newly submitted reports, received at our headquarters since last Thursday, October 18, 2018.

We always recommend to visitors who read the new reports to be on the alert for errors in the reports, and for overt hoaxes.  We proof read each report before posting it, but there is always the possibility that something obvious may have missed our attention, so be on the alert!

A couple of reports that caught our attention this week are the following:

  • West Branch, Iowa, Monday, October 22, 2018, @ 11:35 p.m. (CDT): An adult male, who describes himself as both a professional truck driver, and a Christian minister, reports having witnessed a peculiar “fireball” descend very rapidly, and almost perfectly vertically (from his vantage point) in the nighttime sky.  His opinion was that the object was not a meteor.  The event lasted approximately 3-5 seconds.   Witness Report

  • Winston-Salem, NC, Tuesday, October 23, 2018, @ 6:05 a.m. (EDT): An adult male stepped outside his residence to have a smoke, and suddenly became aware of rectangular-shaped object above him.  The object exhibited both yellow-orange and red lights on its dorsal surface, and trailing edge.  As the object moved in the direction of Winston-Salem, the witness became aware of a second similar object above the first, but heading in a different direction from the first.  Witness Report  See image at right and these:  Rendering 1    Rendering 2   Rendering 3

PUBLIC SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT

Davenport is scheduled to make a public presentation in his hometown, Harrington, Washington, on Saturday, October 27th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (PDT).  The presentation will be held in the Harrington Opera House, which is located in downtown Harrington.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATE ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2018

The NUFORC website has been updated, as of today’s date, October 18, 2018.  We have posted 50 new reports, received since Friday afternoon, October 12, in addition to several reports that have been updated.

We always caution visitor to our site who read the newly posted reports always to be on the alert for errors and possible hoaxed reports, particularly among those reports that are submitted by sources who elect to remain anonymous, and/or who provide no contact information.  We strive to label those anonymous reports so that people reading them will be aware of the fact that the report may be bogus.

Several of this week’s reports that have drawn our attention are the following:

  • West Simsbury, Connecticut, Friday, October 12, 2018, @ 6:00 a.m. (EDT): An adult female describes witnessing an apparently quite large, rectangular-shaped object, with multiple small red and white lights on its ventral surface, pass slowly overhead.  It proceeded over a line of trees, at which time the lights appeared to turn to blue.  Witness Report
  • New York City (Brooklyn), New York, Tuesday, October 16, 2018, @12:41 a.m. (PDT): An adult female reports having witnessed an object with red and blue lights, pass overhead.  A helicopter appeared to have been aware of the presence of the object, and may have been pursuing it.  Both the object and the helicopter disappeared from the witness’s sight, as they passed behind a nearby building.  Witness Report
  • Nashville, Tennessee, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, @ 12:30 p.m. (CDT): An adult female, while parked in her car and eating lunch, suddenly observed a small, highly reflective, silver color spherical “ball” in the daytime sky, which appeared to be hovering motionless.  A short time after having witnessed the highly reflective object, she became aware of two more similar looking objects, positioned off to the right of the first object spotted, although the two new objects were not as reflective as the silver sphere, and one was colored a distinct red, and the other blue.  The red and blue spheres approached the first sphere, all three appeared to “lock” into position with each other, and then slowly moved off in the daytime sky, appearing to move now as one object.  Witness Report
  • Redondo Beach, California, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, @ 9:55 p.m. (PDT): An adult male reports having witnessed a “V-shaped” formation of red flashing lights pass overhead, which was accompanied by an unmistakable deep roaring sound.  The witness succeeded in capturing video of the object.  ((NUFORC Note:  The sound signature suggests to us that the object may have been a transport aircraft, although the light pattern captured in the video appears to be inconsistent with an aircraft.  PD)) Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2018

The NUFORC website and database of sighting reports have been updated as of the date of this writing, Friday, October 12, 2018.  We have posted approximately 90 new reports, received by our offices since Thursday afternoon, October 4th.

Falcon 9 Launch:  Please note that many of the new reports were submitted by witnesses to the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 7:22 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) on Sunday night, October 07, 2018.  I would urge visitors to our website to note the diversity of times, dates, and descriptions among the reports, a fact which illustrates the difficulty that UFO investigators have in attempting to reconstruct the facts of a UFO sighting from follow-up written eyewitness accounts.  In the case of the rocket launch, all the witnesses were watching the same event at the same time, and yet many of the facts differ significantly between reports.  Even the best of reports about a sighting of a suspected UFO often differ dramatically from one another, which invariably makes recreating of an event very difficult, and often impossible.

Noteworthy Cases: The recent cases include a number of very interesting events, which we believe deserve special citation:

  • Cape Coral, Florida, Friday, October 12, 2018, @ 2:55 a.m. (EDT): An adult male, who describes himself as a public servant and an experienced photographer, describes having witnessed an object, surrounded by a light blue halo, with a visible tail, as well as a “spike” ahead of the core object, move rapidly across the sky.  The object was visible for approximately 6-8 seconds, the witness estimated, and it seemed to “fade in,” or appear slowly, and disappear from sight in a similar manner.    Witness Report
  • Wellborn, Florida, Thursday, October 11, 2018, @ 9:00 p.m. (EDT): An adult male, who describes himself as highly experienced and educated, alleges that he witnessed a very bright light in the western sky, approximately 3x the size and luminosity of Venus, shortly after which he describes having witnessed a “chevron” of lights, with the lights being located along the leading edge of the “wings” of the chevron.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON SEPTEMBER 27TH AND OCTOBER 06TH

We have updated our database of sighting reports as of both Thursday, September 27th, and again as of today’s date, October 06th.

There are many interesting reports among both postings of reports, but one that is of particular interest is a report of a UFO crash recovery in Shanxi Province, China, during the summer of 1997, which we summarize, and link to below.  We express our gratitude to Mr. Shao Ma, Director of the International China UFO Association (“ICUFOA”), for sharing this interesting case with NUFORC:

Datong (Shanxi Province), China, summer of 1997: A retired Chinese soldier reports that he allegedly witnessed a crashed saucer-shaped craft at some time during the summer of 1997.  He reports that the craft was approximately six meters in diameter, and approximately two meters, from top to bottom.  Moreover, he adds that when he came upon the crash site, there were two unusual looking alien creatures lying next to the craft, the door of which reportedly was open.  Information about the event apparently was was actively quashed by the Chinese military and government.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2018

We have updated the NUFORC website as of this date, with the posting of 147 eyewitness sighting reports, submitted to our Center since the afternoon of Friday, August 31st, 2018.

We always encourage visitors to our website to be on the alert for flawed or pranked reports.  Flaws frequently occur in the entries for the time and date of an alleged sighting, and reports submitted by sources who elect to remain anonymous, or who provide no contact information, deserve special scrutiny.

A few of the recent reports that caught our attention this week are the following:

  • Spokane, Washington State, Sunday, September 09, 2018, @ 10:35 a.m. (Pacific): A young male student reports having witnessed a disc-shaped craft streak across the morning sky in airspace that is frequented by airliners landing at Spokane International Airport. Witness Report
  • South El Monte, California, Monday, September 11, 2018, @ 7:50 p.m. (Pacific): A young man alleges that he witnessed a “ball of light,” which he first assumed was a meteor, streak out of the northern night sky, slow, and then stop!  The object then accelerated and flew back into the night sky, following along a flight path that was completely different from its original course.  Witness Report
  • Ottertail, Minnesota, Wednesday, September 12, 2018, @ 9:20 p.m. (Central): An adult brother and sister witnessed an large, unlighted object pass across the dark night sky.  Their impression was that the surface of the round, or oval, object was highly reflective.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON AUGUST 31ST, 2018

The NUFORC website has been updated as of Friday afternoon, August 31st, 2018, with the posting of 88 recently submitted sighting reports.  The updating has been accomplished under considerable time pressure, so the quality of the proof-reading process of the new reports is not entirely up to the standards we traditionally aspire to adhere to.  However, we expect to read through the new reports on a second occasion, and will attempt to eliminate any errors among those new report before our next posting.

We encourage visitors to our website to be particularly discriminating when reading the new reports that have been submitted by sources who elect to remain anonymous, and/or who provide no contact information with their reports.

There are many interesting reports this week, but one that captured our attention is highlighted below:

  • Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, Wednesday, August 29th, 2018, @ 8:19 p.m. (Pacific): A group of six witnesses observe a group of approximately 20 bright white lights, seen hovering in a horizontal straight line above the Pacific Ocean for approximately 18 minutes.  The lights appeared to the witnesses to move slightly, and several of them extinguished sequentially, and then reappeared in the same location.  Witness Report   The video provided by one of the witnesses can be viewed here.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON AUGUST 22ND, 2018

We have updated the website as of Wednesday afternoon, August 22nd, 2018, with the posting of approximately 65 new, and newly revised, UFO sighting reports.

We always recommend that visitors to our website be on the lookout for flawed or prank reports, particularly among those reports from sources who elect to remain anonymous, and/or who provide no contact information.

Some of the reports that caught our attention this week are the following:

  • Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Friday, August 17, 2018, @ 8:30 p.m. (Eastern): An adult male reports having witnessed two dark triangular craft that were moving in and out of clouds.  He estimates that the two objects were visible for 7 to 10 minutes.  Witness Report
  • Oslo, Norway, Saturday, August 18, 2018, @ 10:59 p.m. (local): A young, though very experienced, astronomer witnesses two stationary white lights (Magnitude -2.0) suddenly appear in the night sky, approximately 2 degrees from one another.  The witness pointed them out to his mother, who also observed them, within two seconds of which the lights suddenly faded (to Magnitude 3.0).  At that point in time, the objects began to move in unwavering formation, covering an estimated 5 degrees of arc, at the end of which they faded out, and disappeared  from the witnesses’ sight.  Witness Report

Also, Peter is scheduled to appear on “Night Dreams Talk Radio,” an internet-based international radio program, hosted by its new host, Michael W. Hall (“the Paranormal Attorney”), at approximately 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) on Saturday night, August 25th, 2018.   Peter will discuss some recent sighting reports, and may discuss his activities and exploits during his travels to Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia this week.

The NUFORC website will be updated again next week, on August 29th or 30th.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2018

We have updated our website, with the posting of 107 recently received UFO sighting reports, submitted to our Center since the afternoon of Friday, August 10th, 2018.

We always encourage visitors to our website to be on the alert for potentially flawed, or prank reports, as they read through the new entries.  Of particular concern are those reports submitted by individuals who elect to remain anonymous, and who provide no contact information.  Reports from sources who remain anonymous are labelled in both the “Summary” and “Description” boxes of the report form.

Our webmaster has returned from his recent summer travels, so we should be able to keep the website updated and current with at least one posting per week, usually on either Thursday or Friday afternoons, which has become our traditional updating schedule.

Some of the recently submitted reports that have caught our attention are highlighted below:

  • Lynden, Washington, July 31st, 1951, @ ~10:00 p.m. (Pacific): A young teenage couple were out walking, and suddenly noticed a bright light that appeared to be approaching them at high speed out of the night sky.  When the light stopped either above, or near the nearby Abbotsford, B. C. Airport, it appeared to split into four separate discs, which hovered in place for an estimated 60 seconds.  The formation then began to ascend back into the night sky very rapidly, and the discs appeared to join back with one another, once again, taking on the appearance of a single source of light.  Witness Report
  • Angra, Portuguese Azores, August 08th, 1967, @ ~10:00 a.m. (local): A U. S. Navy officer is surprised to see a formation of military personnel begin to break up spontaneously for no apparent cause.  The personnel began to stare up at the sky, staring at what later was thought, and reported, to be a very unusual looking, and unidentifiable, object.  Within days of the event, two U. S. Navy meteorologists reported to their commanders being approached by, and perhaps temporarily incapacitated by, two very tall alien creatures.  Witness Report
  • Cape Mears, Oregon, Monday, July 23, 2018, @ 4:50 a.m.: A young couple were camped on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean, and were suddenly awakened by a strange noise.  They exited their tent, looked down on the ocean, and witnessed three orange-colored spheres, that were hovering just above the water, and below the witnesses.  The couple watched as the round objects moved farther out to sea, turned south, and disappeared from their sight. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, JULY 19, 2018

We have updated our website, as of this date, with the posting of 91 new reports, received since the afternoon of Friday, July 13th.

As visitors to our site read through the reports, we encourage them to be on the lookout for flawed, or prank, reports.

NOTIFICATION:  Given that our webmaster will be traveling until August 8th, this will be our last posting to our website, until after that date.  We will resume our normal weekly updates, following his return from his travels.

A few of the reports that drew our attention are the following:

  • Portland, Maine, Friday evening, July 13, 2018, @ 10:30 p.m. (Eastern): Several adults witness two small white lights moving across the sky at very high (angular) velocity, which attracted their attention.  At the witnesses are observing the two lights, the lights suddenly turn left and right, respectively, swapping positions, and then they continue along their original flight patch across the night sky.  Witness Report
  • Seattle, Washington, Saturday evening, July 14, 2018, @ 7:00 p.m. (Pacific): A wife and husband witness a tiny object in the sky to the south of the Seattle ferry docks, which appears to the witnesses to be hovering motionless, and in the direction of Boeing Field and Sea-Tac Airport.  The object, on two separate occasions, appeared to extend something from its side, and then retract the same object.  Over the course of subsequent minutes, the object appeared possibly to ascend, and then drifted from the witnesses’ view.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, JULY 13, 2018

Our website is being updated, as of this date, with the posting of 128 new reports, received since the afternoon of Thursday, July 5th, 2018.  We encourage visitors to our site to be on the alert for errors and prank reports, as they read through the posted material.

We highlight below a few of the reports that we have found to be of particular interest:

  • Pendleton, Oregon, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, @ 10:45 a.m. (Pacific): A male photojournalist witnesses, and photographs, two similar-looking, light-colored, possibly translucent objects in the daytime sky.  The witness reported that the objects seemed to “merge,” at one point during the sighting.  Seen later in the day by other witnesses, and registered on security cameras.  ((NUFORC Note:  We have not been able to rule out that the objects may have been high-altitude, helium-filled balloons, carrying a scientific package beneath the balloon.  PD)) Witness Report
  • Culver/Redmond, Oregon, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, @ 7:00 p.m. (Pacific): Six witnesses observe a small, round, possibly translucent object hover in the early evening sky.  At one time, it was directly overhead from their vantage point.  ((NUFORC Note:  We will attempt to establish whether the object might have been a high-altitude helium-filled balloon, carrying a scientific instruments, as described above in the Pendleton sighting report.  PD)) Witness Report
  • Owasso, Oklahoma, Wednesday night, July 11, 2018, @ 11:55 p.m. (Central): An adult male, apparently a skilled sky-watcher, describes witnessing a peculiar-looking craft that exhibited apparently non-standard aircraft lights on it.  A few seconds later, the witness observed a second, similar-looking craft a short distance behind the first.  Within a few more seconds, the first object just disappeared from sight, followed immediately by the second, which also just faded from sight.   • Mulino, Oregon, Friday morning, July 13, 2018, @ 00:30 a.m. (Pacific): A husband and wife witness two peculiar craft, which exhibited very unusual, multi-colored lights, move toward them from the south and pass overhead, traveling to the north.  The objects appeared to have at least one row of lights that ran along the ventral surface of both craft.  Shortly after the first two had passed over, the two witnesses became aware of a second pair of similar looking objects, hovering motionless nearby.  The witnesses attempted to video the craft, but assert that their cameras were inoperable during the time that the two craft were moving overhead. RADIO APPEARANCES

Peter Davenport, Director of NUFORC, is scheduled to appear on two radio programs over the next two days.  The first appearance will be his normally scheduled, weekly appearance on the Coast to Coast radio program, hosted by George Noory, which is scheduled to take place at approximately 10:15 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2018.  Peter will discuss recent sighting reports.

The second appearance will be on Night Dreams Talk Radio, hosted by Mr. Michael W. Hall, the “Paranormal Attorney,” which is accessible via the internet.  Peter is scheduled to appear at approximately 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), on Sunday night, July 15, 2018, and will talk about recent reports, and other matters of interest, related to the UFO phenomenon.

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON JUNE 30 AND JULY 5TH, 2018

The NUFORC database of sighting reports was updated both on June 30th, and again, as of this date.  We posted 47 new reports last week, and have posted 107 new reports today, July 5th.

We always caution visitors to our site to be on the alert for flaws in the reports, and for overtly pranked reports, particularly among those reports that were submitted by sources who elect to remain anonymous, and who provide no contact information.  Common sense, and a healthy measure of skepticism, are always useful characteristics for anyone reading reports of alleged UFO sightings.

Here are a few interesting reports that captured our attention, over the past week:

  • (South Long Lake), Minnesota, October 15th, 1932, @ 11:00 p.m.: A husband and wife, while standing near their lakeside cabin, witness a very bright light move rapidly overhead, stop near the center of the lake, and hover for approximately five minutes.  The object then suddenly accelerated and quickly disappeared into the clear night sky.  Witness Report
  • Goodwin, South Dakota, May 4th, 1963, @ 10:00 p.m. (CDT): As a family drives to the north on Highway 312 in eastern South Dakota, they witness a very bright light fly overhead, and land on the highway ahead of their car.  Their recollection is that family members were taken from the car by very bizarre-looking creatures.  Date and time of event are approximate.  Witness Report
  • Hazel, South Dakota, May 01st, 1963, @ 9:00 p.m. (CDT): Several members of a family witness an intensely bright flash that “turned everything to daylight.”  The report appears possibly to corroborate the sighting above from Goodwin, South Dakota.  Date and time of the dramatic event are approximate. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATE ON THURSDAY, JUNE 21ST, 2018

The NUFORC homepage has been updated, as of this date, with the posting of 65 new UFO sighting reports, received since Friday afternoon, June 15th, together with 61 recently revised reports.

We always caution visitors to our website to be on the outlook for flawed, or prank, reports, particularly among those reports that have been submitted by individuals who elect to remain anonymous, and/or who provide no contact information.

Some of the reports that caught our attention this week are the following:

  • Siletz (rural), Oregon, Wednesday, June 06, 2018, @ 7:30 p.m. (PDT): Four witnesses report having seen a gray, bi-pedal, creature in a remote forest setting on the outskirts of Siletz, Oregon.  The principal witness was a 12-year old girl, who reports having witnessed the gray creature on three separate occasions.  Witness Report
  • Hudson, New York, Friday, June 08, 2018, @ 9:15 p.m. (EDT): Two witnesses observe what they estimated were not fewer than 80 small orange-colored objects drift across the night sky.  The display was visible for what the witnesses estimated to have been at least 90 minutes. Witness Report
  • Brighton, Colorado, Monday, June 18, 2018, @ 9:45 p.m. (MDT): An witness who describes himself as an experienced pilot and aircraft mechanic, reports having witnessed a peculiar white light, backdropped by dark storm clouds.  The light appeared to the witness to wobble slightly, and after approximately 2-3 minutes of having observed the light, the witness was unable to ascribe it to any type of phenomenon he is familiar with.  He was certain that the light could not have been part of the lighting system of either a fixed-wing, or rotor-wing, aircraft.  Witness Report

RADIO APPEARANCES

Peter Davenport, Center Director, is scheduled to make his traditional weekly appearance on the radio program, Coast to Coast AM, hosted by George Noory, at approximately 10:15 p.m. (PDT) on Thursday, June 21st, 2018.  Peter will discuss the three reports highlighted above, plus other issues.

Also, Peter is scheduled to appear on Night Dreams Talk Radio, hosted by Michael W. Hall, billed as the “Paranormal Attorney.”  Peter will follow an appearance by Maurene Morgan, State Director for Washington State Chapter of MUFON, who will be on the Michael’s guest from 7:00-7:30 p.m. (Pacific) on Sunday, June 24th, 2018.  Peter will talk about some recent sighting reports, and on other topics, as well.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, JUNE 15, 2018

The NUFORC website has been updated, as of this date, with the posting of 63 new sighting reports, which have been received by our Center since the afternoon of Thursday, June 7th of last week.  We caution visitors to our site to be on the alert for errors, and for hoaxed reports, as they read the newly posted material.

Several of the reports have captured our attention, and we summarize them below:

  • Georgetown, Texas, Friday, June 15, 2018, @ 5:05 a.m. (Central): A husband and wife were out walking, when their attention was suddenly drawn to a bright light, located in the northeastern sky, that appeared to be approaching the witnesses’ location.  As they watched the light, they suddenly became aware that it was being followed by four smaller lights.  As the first cluster passed overhead, the witnesses observed a second formation of lights, which were oriented relative to one another in a formation different from that of the first group.  The witnesses estimate that they witnessed 50-100 individual lights in the formations that passed overhead, and the event lasted an estimated 25 minutes.  The husband is a former U. S. Air Force fighter pilot instructor.  Witness Report
  • Medford, OR, Friday, June 15, 2018, @ 08:18 a.m. (Pacific): On his way to work, an adult male was driving south on Highway 62 in north Medford, when his attention was suddenly drawn to a very bright object in the southern sky, which appeared to be metallic and oval.  The object was partially obscured by clouds, and was moving to the east, i.e. from his right to left.  The object suddenly just disappeared from the witness’s sight. NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON JUNE 1ST AND JUNE 7TH, 2018

Although we were not able to update our homepage on June 1st, of last week, we were, nevertheless, able to update the database of sighting reports, on that date.  In addition, we have updated both the homepage and the database as of today’s date, with the posting of approximately 52 new reports, submitted to our Center via our Online Report Form, since the afternoon of June 1st, 2018.

However, we have updated, this week, under conditions of time pressure, and were not able to devote as much time to the proof-reading of new reports as we traditionally like to do.  Hence, we encourage visitors to our site to be on the alert for errors, and even hoaxed reports, as they read through those reports.

One of the reports that caught our attention we share below:

  • Lubbock, Texas, on Sunday, June 03rd, 2018, @ 00:25 a.m. (CDT): A young high school student, who describes himself as an amateur astronomer, observed a peculiar, triangular-shaped, craft, with rapidly strobing lights, pass across the night sky, traveling from east to west.  He managed to get a very good look at the object through his spotting scope.   Witness Report   Sketch Supplied by Witness

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED THURSDAY, MAY 31ST, 2018

Our website has been updated as of this date, with the posting to our database of approximately 115 recently submitted sighting reports, received since Thursday, May 24th, 2018.

We have made every attempt to carefully proof-read all of the posted reports, but recognize that there is always the possibility that we have overlooked errors, and reports that are inaccurate, or intentionally misleading.  Consequently, we urge visitors to our site to be on the constant lookout for oversights in our proof-reading process.

RADIO APPEARANCES

Peter is scheduled for two radio appearances, over the next two days.

The first appearance will be on the late night radio talk show, Midnight in the Desert, hosted by Ms. Heather Wade, which is broadcast from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (Pacific) on major AM stations.  Peter is scheduled to appear on the program, beginning at 10:00 p.m. (Pacific), tonight, Thursday, May 31, 2018, and will speak about recent interesting UFO sighting reports, as well as on on the subject of ufology, in general, and on other related topics.

Peter also is scheduled to make his weekly appearance on Coast to Coast AM, hosted by Mr. George Noory, on Friday night, June 1st, 2018, beginning at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Pacific).  Peter will discuss several recently submitted cases.

We expect to update the site again on June 1st, and hope to be able to include some interesting photos.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED MAY 18, 2018

Our website has been updated as of this date, with the posting of 39 new reports, submitted since the afternoon of Friday, May 10th, 2018, via our Online Report Form.  In addition, we have re-posted 21 older reports that have been amended or corrected, for one reason or another.

We have proofread all the reports to the best of our ability, but there is always the possibility that we may have missed a few items in the course of our scanning process.  Hence, we always encourage visitors to our website to maintain a constant vigil for errors in the reports, and to be on the lookout for either overt, or even subtle, hoaxes, which may have escaped our attention.

McMENAMINS UFO FESTIVAL

Peter Davenport will be away from our Center’s headquarters for the next several day, in order to attend the 19th Annual McMenamins UFO Festival in McMinnville, Oregon, during May 17-20, 2018.  It’s not too late to obtain weekend passes, and tickets to individual speakers’ presentations are almost always available.  Details about the conference can be found at www.ufofest.com.  It’s one of “friendliest” UFO conferences on the circuit, and its list of speakers is always “top flight.”  This years schedule of presenters is no exception.

UFO HOTLINE AND PRANK CALLS

Our Hotline continues to be inundated with prank calls from young callers who appear to have little consideration for the welfare of others.  Given the uniformity of the seemingly scripted lines these rude callers use when they call, we presume that they are being guided and directed by the contents of a foolish video posted on YouTube, urging them to call various telephone number and make themselves as obnoxious as they possibly can.  We request that callers use our Hotline if, and only if, they sincerely believe they have been witness to an apparently genuine UFO.  Also, we urge parents and grandparents to supervise their children’s use of cell phones and the internet.  Thank you!!

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, MAY 10TH, 2018

We have updated our website, as of this date, with the posting of 66 sighting reports, received by our Center since the afternoon of Friday, May 04th, 2018.

Although we have screened the reports as carefully as we are able to do, there is always the possibility that we may have overlooked a flawed report.  As a result, since flawed, and even hoaxed, reports are always a possibility, we encourage visitors to our site to be on the lookout for defective, or misleading, reports.

MADAR REPORTS

Over the past several weeks, our Center has begun a co-operative arrangement with Mr. Francis Ridge, long-time UFO researcher, Director of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (“NICAP”), and inventor of a UFO detection system, called “MADAR.”  The term, “MADAR,” is an acronym for “Multiple Anomaly Detection and Automated Recording.”  A MADAR unit is designed to detect magnetic anomalies that appear to be associated with the presence of UFOs.

The purpose in posting the periodic detection events, recorded by approximately 25-30 MADAR units currently in operation around the world, is to address whether eyewitness sightings of suspected UFOs might be able to be corroborated by magnetic anomalies recorded by one, or more, MADAR unit(s).

More information about MADAR, and how it works, can be found at the MADAR website. MADAR units can be purchased by contacting Mr. Ridge, whose contact information is available on the website shown above.

A few of the recently posted NUFORC reports that caught our attention are the following:

  • Gainesville, Florida, Friday, November 24th, 2017, @ 8:14 p.m. (Eastern): A grandmother, and her younger adult neighbor, witness a cluster of six red objects in the western sky.  The objects all suddenly extinguish at the same moment.  Witness Report   Photo at upper right.
  • Burbank, California, Saturday, May 05th, 2018, @ 7:32 p.m. (Pacific): An adult male reports having witnessed a peculiar eight-sided, diamond-shaped, object pass overhead, and continue on a seemingly straight line, in the direction of the Burbank (California) International Airport, flying perpendicular to the flight paths of aircraft landing at, and taking off from, that airport.  The witness was able to capture two photos of the object.  Zoomed in view at right – arrow indicates object.  Witness Report
  • Warsaw, Poland, Tuesday, May 08th, 2018, @ 5:45 p.m. (Local): An adult male reports briefly having witnessed a cigar-shaped object, which appeared to have no wings or empennage, and which appeared to him to be hovering motionless in the sky.  He briefly lost sight of the object for a few seconds behind a nearby house, during which time the object just disappeared. NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, APRIL 26, 2018

We have completed a partial update of the NUFORC website, as of this date, with the posting of this statement to our homepage, and with the posting of 157 new reports, received since the afternoon of Friday, April 13, 2018, to our database of sighting reports.

We attempted to update the website last week, as well, to include graphics associated with some of last week’s reports, but a schedule conflict prevented our webmaster from being able to get to that task.  We hope to be back to our normal schedule of weekly updates, sometime during the upcoming weekend, or early next week.  We are grateful to the regular visitors to our website for their patience regarding this minor interruption in our service.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON APRIL 13th, 2018 

We have updated our website, as of this date, with the posting of 62 new reports, submitted to our Center since the afternoon of Thursday, April 5th.

  • We highlight below, of the reports, which for one reason or another, have attracted our attention: -Plano, Illinois, March 17, 2010, @11:32 a.m. (Central): An adult male reports that as he was backing his vehicle out of his driveway, his attention was suddenly drawn to a very strange-looking, disc-shaped object, hovering motionless, to his left side of his car.  Within a few seconds, the witness realized that the object was something he was unable to identify, so he got out of his vehicle, in order to get a better look at it.  As he stood and watched the object, it began to approach his location, and it passed overhead, providing him with a very good view of the object’s ventral surface.  The witness had the impression that the object was in the process of “cloaking” its appearance.   • Cle Elum, Washington State, Wednesday, April 04th, 2018, @ 01:13 a.m. (Pacific): A woman awakens in her bedroom and sees a seemingly mechanical, “spider-like” object moving across the ceiling of her bedroom.   Witness Report
  • Ft. Collins, Colorado, Sunday, April 08th, 2018, @ 01:30 a.m. (Mountain): A young man asserts that while walking home through his neighborhood, he becomes aware of a bright white “star” in the night sky.  In very short order, the witness reports, the object descended to ground level, and its color changed from bright white, to red.  The object then ascended rapidly back up into the night sky.  The witness estimates that when the object was at its closest to his location, it appeared to him to be approximately the size of a basketball.  The next morning, a reddened area, or “scoop mark,” was evident on his right hand.  The origin of the wound was a mystery to the witness.  Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, APRIL 05TH, 2018

Our website was updated as of this date, with the posting to our database of sighting reports 58 new cases, submitted since Thursday, March 29th, 2018.

We always caution visitors to our site to be on the alert for flawed, or even bogus, reports, particularly among those which have been submitted by anonymous sources.  We attempt to label all the posted reports from individuals who elect to remain anonymous.  However, some of the other reports may contain misleading information, too, and we may not have been able to identify all potentially bogus reports.

HIGHTLIGHTED CASES

A few of the new reports captured our attention, and we summarize them below:

  • West Paris, Maine, Monday, April 2nd, 2018, @ 5:00 p.m. (Eastern): An adult male was viewing deer in a nearby field, when he noticed a spherical object, estimated by the witness to have been approximately 16 inches in diameter, pass by him at high speed.  He witnessed the object for only seconds.  The witness seemed to us to be sincere and sober-minded.  Witness Report
  • Indian Ocean (500 miles from nearest land), Tuesday, April 03rd, 2018, @ 2:20 p.m. (local): A merchant marine deckhand, standing watch, witnessed an odd object at approximately 15-20 degrees above the horizontal plane, in a cloudless blue sky.  The object appeared to have red and white blinking lights along its sides, and it suddenly disappeared from sight, and then re-appeared a second time.  The witness is an experienced mariner, and has stood watch on many occasions.  Witness Report
  • Albuquerque, New Mexico, Wednesday, April 04th, 2018, @ 7:08 a.m. (Mountain): A young man, while driving to work, witnessed a rust colored, disc-shaped craft in the morning sky to the northwest of his location.  He estimates that the object may have been approximately 4 miles from his location, and he witnessed it for approximately 90 seconds.  Witness is former U. S. military, and seemed to us to be highly reliable.  Witness Report

The NUFORC website has been updated as of this date, with the posting of 70 sighting reports that have been either received, or revised, since our last update on Friday, March 23rd, 2018.

Many of the posted reports have been submitted by sources who elect to remain totally anonymous, and/or who have provided no contact information with their reports.  Consequently, we always caution visitors to our website to be on the constant alert for potentially falsified reports.  We have attempted to label those reports that are from anonymous sources, as well as hose reports that, because of content, appear to our staff to address objects that probably are something other than authentic UFOs.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON MARCH 23rd, 2018

We have updated our website as of this date, March 23rd, 2018, with the posting of 113 new reports, received since the afternoon of March 08th, 2018, the date of our last posting.

Many of the new reports have been submitted by individuals who elect to remain anonymous, and who have provided no contact information, so we encourage visitors to our website to be discriminating in what they accept as accurate and reliable.

A few of the reports that we believe to be of exception interest are the following:

  • North Bend, Washington, Sunday, March 11, 2018, @ 04:15 a.m. (Pacific): An adult male and an adult passenger, who were driving eastbound on Interstate 90 toward North Bend, witnessed two, seemingly rectangular, very bright lights appear their vehicle in the passing lane.  Before the driver could move to a lane to a lane to the right, the lights suddenly seemed to simply disappear.  The highway was devoid of all other traffic.  Witness Report
  • Arizona (above; while in-flight), Monday, March 12, 2018, @ 4:05 p.m. (Mountain): A husband and wife witness a strange looking object next to their aircraft, somewhere above Arizona.  The object appeared dark in color, and it appeared to the husband to be capable of changing its shape.  It appeared to move in “an undulating fashion, the way a snake slithers.”  The witnesses estimated that the object may have been within 100 feet of their aircraft.  After the plane had landed, two other passengers stated that they had seen the object, as well.  Witness Report
  • Nooksack, Washington, Monday, March 19, 2018, @ 3:30 p.m. (Pacific): A young mother, and three of her children, witness three very highly reflective, metallic looking, objects, brightly illuminated, and highly contrasted against dark clouds.  The sighting lasted for approximately one minute.  Witness Report
  • Steubenville, Ohio, Monday, March 19, 2018, @ 8:37 p.m. (Eastern): A mother and her two sons, while driving home from a shopping trip, witness a very large, dark, triangular-shaped craft with an intensely bright white light, in addition to a number of other smaller, “blue-white” lights positioned around the periphery of the craft.  The object appeared to move vertically, on at least three occasions, and then simply disappeared from the witnesses’ sight by descending into nearby trees.  Witness Report
  • Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Thursday, March 22nd, 2018, @ 9:15 p.m. (Eastern): An adult male driver and his passenger suddenly become aware of the fact that their vehicle was being approached very rapidly by a bright light, that was directly ahead of them.  As the lights got closer, they split into two lights, and then split again into four lights, which “filled the sky” ahead of their vehicle.  Two of the lights appeared to execute a 90-degree turn and streak off, disappearing in the distance.  The other two lights suddenly did the same, following the path that the first two lights had taken. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, MARCH 08, 2018

We have updated our homepage and database of sighting reports, as of March 8, 2018.  We have posted 59 new, and 7 newly revised, cases, all of which have been either received, or amended, since Friday afternoon, March 2nd, of last week.

We highlight below a few of the reports which we believe are of particular interest:

  • Moody, Texas, ~December 23rd, 1949, @ ~07:30 a.m.: Three youngsters, a 7-year old boy, his 17-year old sister, and her 17-year old female classmate, were walking to school on a snowy morning, when they suddenly witnessed a silver-colored, disc-shaped craft, which was sitting on the ground in an empty lot.  The witness estimates the disc was approximately 40 in diameter, and 14 feet tall at its center, and it was sitting on a cylindrically shaped pedestal, approximately 3 feet in diameter.  The children then witnessed three humanoid creatures beneath the craft.  The source of the report is a retired medical professional, with multiple advanced degrees.  Witness Report
  • Algiers, Algeria, ~October 01st, 1991, @ ~2:00 p.m.: A mother and her 14-year old son, witness a disc-shape craft, seen hovering motionless in the daytime sky.  The disc had several different-colored lights, situated along the flange of the disc, and which began flashing a short time after the witnesses had begun first observing the craft.  After approximately five minutes, the object suddenly accelerated and disappeared from the witnesses’ view, in what seemed to be a fraction of a second.   • Ontonagon, Michigan, Wednesday, February 28, 2017, @ 11:00 p.m. (Eastern): An adult male, former military, was riding on his snowmobile, when he became aware of a bright source of light that was illuminating him from behind, and which illuminated quite brightly the area around him.  The witness stopped the engine on the snowmobile, at which time he noticed behind him an object that seemed to be totally silent, which appeared to be moving slowly up and down.  Although he was just a few minutes’ ride from his home, at the time of the sighting, he did not arrive there until two hours later, for which he had no explanation, and which had caused his wife a great deal of consternation.   • Charlotte, North Carolina, Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, @ 7:15 p.m. (Eastern): A husband and wife observe 15-20 very bright orange lights, stretched out across the dark nighttime sky in a straight line, extending as far as the witnesses could see. Witness Report
  • Twin Falls, Idaho, Wednesday, March 6th, 2018, @ 9:15 p.m. (Mountain): An adult truck driver, driving eastbound on Idaho Highway 74, witnesses a cluster of an estimated 14-15 bright, amber-colored lights, stretched out across the nighttime sky.  Witness Report

NEW UFO TELEPHONE HOTLINE POLICY

Because of a continuing problem with a large volume of prank calls being placed to our UFO Hotline by young callers, we have had to change our policies regarding how we answer incoming calls.  For the time being, unless we recognize, using “Caller ID,” the telephone number of an incoming call, we will not answer the call with a human operator, and will allow the call to go directly to our telephone messaging service.  If serious-minded callers would like a return call, we invite them to leave a responsible-sounding message, and we will return all legitimate calls as quickly as we are able to do.

In addition, we will not answer any incoming call which “Caller ID” indicates has been placed from a “Private Caller,” a “Private Number,” from an “Unknown Name,” or from a “spoofed,” i.e. synthetic, telephone number.  Instead, we will allow such incoming calls, again, to go directly to our answering service, from which frivolous calls will be deleted, before we place any return calls.

We apologize for any inconvenience this new policy may cause for responsible people attempting to contact our Center for legitimate purposes, but we have become fed up with ill-mannered young people who are using their telephones to inconvenience other people’s lives.  It leads us to conclude that parents should be monitoring closely their children’s use of cell telephones, just as they should carefully monitor their use of computers that are connected to the internet.

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, MARCH 02ND, 2018

We have updated our website, with the posting to our database of sighting report, of approximately 75 new reports, received since February 22nd, 2018.

We always recommend that visitors to our website be cautious, and discriminating, when reading the sighting reports, and in particular, when reading reports submitted by individuals who elect to remain anonymous, and/or who decide not to include their contact information.  This warning is particularly pertinent, at present, we believe, given the high volume of prank calls and reports that have been submitted to our Hotline over the past six months, typically by young people.  We suspect that some of those individuals may have submitted hoaxed written reports, as well, but we are unable to detect, and “flag,” all of them.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND, 2018

We have updated the website, as of this date, with the posting of approximately 110 new, and recently revised, sighting reports.

We encourage visitors to our site to always be on the alert for errors and hoaxed reports, and in particular, with regard to those reports that have been submitted by parties who elect to remain anonymous.  We have attempt to label those reports that have been submitted by individuals who do not share their names or contact information together with their reports.

NUFORC HOMEPAGE FINALLY UPDATED ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2018

We would like to apologize to all those individuals who regularly visit our website, and who have become accustomed to updates to the site on at least a weekly basis.  Due to some serious computer problems, combined with several days of out-of-town travel for live presentations, our last update was January 18, 2018.  We now have the computer problems resolved, so we should be back to our normal schedule of weekly updates of the website.

With this update, we have posted 176 new, or newly revised reports.  Given the heavy volume of prank calls we are receiving over our Hotline, we suspect that there may well be a few written reports submitted via our Online Report Form that are attempts to hoax the readers.  Hence, we caution readers to be on the alert for reports that seem somewhat suspicious, and in particular, those reports that have been submitted by anonymous sources.

Given that we are updating tonight under a bit of time pressure, we have not included with this posting any photos, videos, or highlighted reports.  We will post again soon, at which time we will include some graphics, together with discussion of some of the more interesting recent sightings.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018

We always caution visitors to our website to be on the alert for flaws and pranks among the newly posted reports, and that warning may be particularly pertinent this week, given the large volume of sighting reports we have had to proof-read over the past week.

We cite below a few of the many cases that caught our attention, from among the approximately 400 new, and newly revised, sighting reports that we have posted this week:

  • Pasadena, California, Saturday, January 13, 2018, @ 12:45 p.m. (Pacific): Seven observers witness a cluster of at least five tiny white objects that hovered almost motionless in a clear, cloudless sky, for approximately an hour.  High-quality video footage of the event accompanied the written report.  Our initial thought was that the objects might have been seagulls soaring in upwelling wind, but the objects do not appear to look, or behave, like birds.  Witness Report    Video
  • Carlsbad, California, Saturday, January 13, 2018, @ 2:30 p.m. (Pacific): An adult male, who describes himself as an amateur astronomer, viewed at least three anomalous objects, which appeared to both hover, and maneuver, in the clear, cloudless sky.  The witness observed the objects with a set of 15 X 70 big binoculars, designed for astronomy.  Witness Report
  • Hollywood, Florida, Saturday, January 13, 2018, @ 8:00 p.m. (Eastern): A adult male, who is currently a law enforcement officer, witnesses, and video-tapes, a cluster of peculiar “orbs,” which traveled from north to south.  NUFORC is attempting to determine what the wind direction and velocity were at the time of the sighting, in attempt to rule out the possibility that the lights may have been sky lanterns, or so-called “Chinese” lanterns.  Witness Report   Video

PARTIAL UPDATE OF THE NUFORC WEBSITE ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 04, 2018

We still have approximately 280 sighting reports that have to be proof-read and edited before they can be posted, so we will limit this posting today to this brief statement for the NUFORC homepage.  We hope to have the accumulated sighting reports proof-read by tomorrow or Saturday, January 5th or 6th, and will post them, once the editing process is completed.

In the meantime, we post below a few reports that we consider to be unusually interesting:

  • Olive Branch, Mississippi, Tuesday, January 02nd, 2018, @ 6:38 a.m. (CST): A husband and wife, while driving on Highway 78, witness two cylindrical objects pass across the face of an almost full Moon.  The husband is a very experienced pilot, with approximately 22,000 hours of flight time.  Here is the report submitted by the wife:

BEGIN WITNESS STATEMENT:  “Two cylinder type objects or shadows traversing over full “wolf” moon Jan. 2, 2018.

On Jan. 2, 2018, my husband (former airline pilot with 22,000 hours) and I were traveling on Lamar Ext. (Hwy. 78), coming out of Olive Branch, Mississippi to Memphis.  Just before the Tennessee line, I witnessed two cylindrical objects or shadows moving vertically over the face of a full wolf moon.

My husband viewed one, and I viewed both.  #2 was higher than #1.  He was driving and #2 was out of the bright face of the moon and could no longer be seen when he observed #1.

Once the objects or shadows were out of the bright face of the moon, they were no longer visible.  Other people viewed this I am sure.  If they did, I urge them to speak up.”

  • Rosamond, California, Tuesday, January 02nd, 2018, @ 10:20 a.m. (PST): An adult male, driving to work on U. S. Highway 14 at approximately 10:20 a.m., witnesses a very shiny, bizarre-looking object that is approaching his vehicle at very high speed.  We copy below the text of his statement:

BEGIN WITNESS STATEMENT:  “Object seen off of U.S. Highway 14  at low altitude moving north.”

January 2, 2018.  This report is being filed from Rosamond, California.

Daylight conditions:  Partially cloudy.

Today, at 10:20 AM, while traveling south bound on U.S. Highway 14, approximately between Avenues D and E, an object was spotted at an estimated distance of ¼ mile above the highway.  First impressions were that it was a large bird, like a duck or sea gull.  As I kept my attention on the object, it became clear to me that it was not a bird, but perhaps an aircraft.

Seconds later, the object is now about two hundred feet ahead of my car, and moving alongside the highway about 150 feet parallel to the highway.  As the object flies by my right hand view moving straight with a speed less than my 65 MPH, I can now see that it’s an object about fifty feet in altitude.

The object is chrome skinned, appearing smooth, and not a conventional aircraft.  I can only estimate that it’s an object about 20 feet in length with an equal height, in a pyramid shape.

No audible sound was heard from this object as it came at the closest position to my car.  Highway 14 was unusually heavy with traffic as many are now returning home from the holidays.  Others had to have seen this object.”
