NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED MONDAY, DECEMBER 21ST, 2015

We have updated the NUFORC website, as of this date, with the posting of approximately 50 newly received reports. We have attempted to proof-read the reports thoroughly, but there is always the possibility that the reports may contain errors, or may be hoaxes that we have not detected. Hence, be on the alert for errors, as you read through the posted material.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Peter Davenport, Center Director, will be out of town for the next several days over the Christmas Holiday. Hence, he will not be available to answer the Hotline [(206) 722-3000] until his return, a few days after Christmas. Consequently, we would be most grateful if people would refrain from telephoning the Hotline, except for the most urgent purposes. Peter will monitor the Hotline remotely, and will return calls, if possible, as he travels, but it may take several days for him to return calls.

RADIO APPEARANCE ON CHRISTMAS EVE

Peter is scheduled to make a brief appearance on Coast to Coast AM, hosted by George Noory, at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Pacific) on Christmas Eve, December 24th. Peter will be broadcasting from North Pole, Alaska, where he will be monitoring the Santa Claus residence and workshop for any unusual activity

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2015

We have posted to our database of eyewitness reports 111 new, and recently amended, sighting reports, received since Thursday of last week, December 10th, 2015. As visitors to our site read the reports, we request that they keep on the alert for defective or hoaxed reports. If you find what you believe is an error, or a hoaxed report, please send a not to director@ufocenter.com, and we will address the issue as quickly as we can.

RADIO APPEARANCE

Peter Davenport, Center Director, is scheduled to appear on the Coast to Coast AM radio program, hosted by George Noory, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 17th, 2015. Peter will discuss some of the recent cases that have been submitted to NUFORC over the past week. We include below a report that arrived, just as we were updating of the website, which Peter will discuss during his appearance on the program:

The lead mechanic for ((deleted: an aviation company)) in Madison, MS, came inside the FBO and requested that all the employees on staff step outside to witness the objects.

We initially saw five, red, spherical objects in the western sky, traveling southbound at a rapid but steady pace. (The objects were approximately two hand widths vertical distance from ground level). The red light on the objects was not blinking.

All of the objects began to disappear (their red lights faded slowly, as if burning out) once they all reached the same point in the sky.

A sixth and final object emerged, appearing to lag behind the initial objects but heading in the same direction and traveling at the same approximate speed. It, too, disappeared once it reached the same point in the sky.

The entire event lasted between four and seven minutes. The sighting was witnessed at an airport by personnel who have had numerous years in and around aircraft. This was not typical aircraft behavior.

Lights On Object: Yes

Also, Peter is scheduled to make an appearance on Coast to Coast AM again, next Thursday, December 24th, and will be broadcasting from NORTH POLE, ALASKA! Peter plans to monitor very closely Santa’s Workshop, located in North Pole, and expects to report any activity that may be seen to occur there on Christmas Eve – Young children who are up late, and who may be anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus, are encouraged to tune in to the program!

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10TH, 2015

We have posted 99 new, and newly revised, reports, received since the evening of December 4th.

We have proof-read the reports to the best of our ability, but there may still be errors in the new reports, so we always encourage visitors to our site to be on the lookout for flawed reports and possible hoaxes. Also, be alert for reports of the three bright planets in the eastern morning sky, and for sightings of the star, Sirius, in the southeast sky, beginning in the late evening, and continuing until morning.

RADIO APPEARANCES

Peter Davenport will make his weekly appearance on the Coast to Coast AM radio program, hosted by George Noory, on Thursday, December 10th, 2015, at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Pacific). Peter will discuss several of the more interesting and dramatic sightings that have occurred over the past week.

Peter will appear on the Jeff Rense Radio Program on Friday night, December 11th, at from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Pacific). Jeff and Peter will host several sets of guests who were witness to the dramatic events that were reported from the Pacific Northwest, and from other states, during the evening of Friday, December 4th, 2015. Written reports for many of the telephoned reports are among those we have posted to our website, with this posting.

NUFORC UPDATES HOMEPAGE, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 04, 2015

We updated the website yesterday, December 03rd, but, in part, because there were some errors and omissions in that earlier posting, we have elected to update again today. We have posted approximately 20 new sighting reports, submitted since yesterday, and approximately 40 older reports that have been more extensively proof-read and revised during that same time period.

RADIO APPEARANCE

Copperas Cove, Texas, Thursday, December 03, 2015, @ 20:10 hrs. (Central): An adult female, driving north on Texas Highway 116, witnesses an orange light in the eastern sky, which appears to split into at least three similar looking objects. She continued to watch the objects, and others, maneuver in the night sky for at least another 20 minutes. Witness Report

Edgewood, New Mexico, Thursday, December 03, 2015, @ 17:45 hrs. (Mountain): An adult female, driving east on Interstate 40, witnessed a very bright ball of light streak from the eastern sky, to the northeastern sky, in approximately 3 seconds. Her family members reported hearing sonic reports in Edgewood. Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE IS UPDATED ON THURSDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 03RD, 2015

We have updated the website, with the posting of approximately 95 newly received eyewitness reports, plus approximately 40 amended reports.

As you read the recent reports, please be on the lookout for flawed, or hoaxed, reports. Most of the reports that we consider to be something other than serious reports we have not posted, with a few exceptions of properly qualified and labelled examples. However, there is always the possibility that we may have missed some flawed reports, in our haste to proof-read and post the new cases. Consequently, there may be some in the database that have escaped our attention. If you find what you believe to be a flawed report, please call it to our attention by sending a note to director@ufocenter.com, and we will address the issue as quickly as possible.

REPORTS OF THE MORNING PLANETS, AND OF “SIRIUS” IN THE LATE EVENING SKY

Our Center is receiving many reports of the three bright planets, which currently are visible in the early morning eastern sky. Many of the reports we have posted, as an example of what people are seeing, and reporting. Please refrain from reporting these three bright objects in the morning sky! They are planets, and not alien spacecraft!!

Also, as the northern hemisphere gets deeper into the winter months, the very bright star, called “Sirius,” or the “Dog Star,” is becoming visible ever earlier in the southeastern sky during the mid- and late part of the evening. It gives off a vividly bright chromatic display, principally red, blue, and green light, but it, like the morning planets, is not a genuine UFO. Hence, please refrain from reporting it to our Center! All of these reports of planets and of “twinkling” stars are taking a great deal of our time, and they have become a burden.

“FIREBALL” REPORTS

This is a phenomenon that we have been attempting to bring to the attention of the world community, and the reports appear not to be diminishing in frequency. We received a very nice report from the Missouri Investigators Group, based in Columbia, Missouri, of a sighting of just one of these events, which occurred at 5:52 p.m. (Central) on November 23RD, 2015, and which we would like to feature here. NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THANKSGIVING DAY, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2015.

We have updated the website and database of sighting reports as of November 26, 2015. Please be on the lookout for errors and flawed reports, given that our vacation schedule has provided us with only limited time for proof-reading. We suspect that there probably are a number of errors, and cases of mistaken identity, among the reports we have posted today.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED AGAIN ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2015

We updated the website yesterday, November 19, and we do so again today, in preparation for Peter’s appearance on the Jeff Rense Radio Program, beginning at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific) on Friday night, November 20th, 2015. Harmonyville, Pennsylvania, on Monday, November 16, 2015, @ 19:30 hrs. (EST): A husband and wife witness a cluster of approximately 11 orange lights, moving across the sky from northwest to southeast. The husband is a licensed private pilot, and states that hes never seen anything like what the two of them saw. The witnesses have provided two photographs, taken from the internet, which they report are very similar to what they witnessed. A close up is shown to the right and a full shot can be seen here. Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, @ 20:50 hrs. (MST): An adult male witnesses a dramatic display of “square” yellow/orange lights in the western sky. Witness Report

Mitchell, South Dakota, on October 23, 2013, @ 20:50 hrs. : A husband and wife witness a strange light above the interstate highway, which alarms them. Later that evening, they witness a similar light above their farm, which splits into two separate lights. Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 19, 2015

e have updated our website, with the posting of approximately 460 new, and newly amended, sighting reports, received since November 07th. As visitors to our website read the reports, we encourage them to be on the lookout for errors and hoaxed reports, and for cases of obvious misidentification of celestial bodies.

The majority of the new reports are descriptions of the very dramatic missile launch that occurred off the coast of California at approximately 6:00 p.m. (Pacific) on Saturday night, November 07th, 2015. Even though the event clearly was not related to a UFO sighting, we decided to post those reports, nevertheless, in order to illustrate the diversity of reports that were submitted in response to the same event.

Although most witnesses to the event did a commendable job of reporting the event accurately, many entered the wrong date and time, the direction the witnesses were facing (west), the direction the missile was traveling (north), and even the color of the exhaust (white, then blue-green). The event serves to illustrate the difficulty that UFO investigators have in their attempt to obtain accurate and reliable data from eyewitnesses, and how crucially important it is for eyewitnesses to record their respective sightings accurately, in order that another person will be able to understand clearly what an object or event looked like, as it was observed by the initial witness(es).

NUFORC WEBSITE PARTIALLY UPDATED ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2015

In preparation for a radio appearance on Thursday evening, November 12th, we have updated our website with the posting of approximately 130 eyewitness reports, received since November 6th, 2015. However, those 130 reports represent only approximately one quarter of the unusually large number of reports we have received over the past week, a result principally of the launch of an ICBM missile off the coast of California by the U. S. Navy submarine, the USS Kentucky, on Saturday night, November 07th, 2015, at approximately 5:55 p.m. (Pacific). The remainder of the reports will be posted within the next 1-2 days, as soon as we are able to proof-read them.

Because we’ve performed a relatively hasty job of proof-reading the posted reports, it is particularly important the visitors to our website be on the alert for flawed or misleading reports. If you encounter a report that you believe may be flawed, please send a note to director@ufocenter.com, and we will re-examine the report for accuracy.

Peter Davenport, Director of NUFORC, will make his weekly appearance on the radio program, Coast to Coast AM, hosted by George Noory, at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Pacific) on Thursday night, November 12th, 2015. The program is carried by most major AM stations across the U. S. Some of the reports that Peter may address during tonights program include the following:

California (Pacific Ocean), Saturday, November 07th, 2015, @~5:55 p.m.: Seemingly reliable news reports have confirmed the fact that a U. S. Navy submarine, reportedly the USS Kentucky, conducted a test firing of an ICBM missile off the coast of California. We have posted perhaps 50 or 100 of the approximately 250-300 written reports we have received about that event. In March 1998, our Center received approximately 30 reports of another submarine ICBM launch off the east coast of Florida that took place on Saturday, the 07th of that month. In that instance, two missiles were fired in rapid sequence, and both were visible simultaneously in the night sky. Those earlier reports can be accessed among the reports for March 1998.

Tucson, Arizona, Friday, March 14, 1997, @ ~1:10 a.m. (local): Approximately 3-4 hours after the so-called “Phoenix Lights” sightings had ended, an adult male witnesses in his front yard a tall, bipedal, human-like creature, with a large head, which approaches, and attempts to enter, the witness’s home. The creature then jumps over a nearby fence, and disappears in the night. The witness reports that shortly after watching the creature leave his yard, he witnessed a disc rise out from a nearby field and pass close to his home. Witness Report

The NUFORC website has been updated as of Friday, November 06, 2015, with the posting of 192 sighting reports, received since the afternoon of Thursday, October 29th.

We have proof-read the reports as carefully as our time has allowed, but there is always the possibility that errors and flawed reports may have slipped through our screening process. Consequently, we urge visitors to our website to be on the alert for possible flaws, as they read through the reports.

RADIO APPEARANCE ON NOVEMBER 06, 2015

Odessa, Washington, Monday, March 17, 1969, @ ~20:00 hrs. (Pacific): A large number of people at a birthday party witness a very large metallic looking, disc-shaped object hover over several local houses, including the home where the birthday celebration was taking place. Some of the attendees decided to follow the object, and they saw it land in a local field. Witness Report

Portland, Tennessee, Tuesday, November 03, 2015, @ 18:40 hrs. (Central): An adult male, who describes himself as being former military, at one time attached to military Special Operations commands, reports witnessing a dull gray, triangular craft, that seemed to respond to the presence of the witnesses, who flashed their automobile headlights at it. The object suddenly accelerated and streaked off in the night sky, as two what appeared to be military F-18 fighter aircraft approached the area, apparently which were flying directly toward the object. COMMENT ABOUT THE THREE PLANETS CURRENTLY VISIBLE IN THE MORNING SKY: Many people have reported witnessing the three bright objects in the early morning eastern sky, and many have questioned whether they are, in fact, planets. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2015

We have updated our website, with the posting of approximately 300 new, or newly revised, sighting reports, received since the afternoon of Friday, October 16th. All of the new reports have been proof-read, to at least a limited degree, but please be on the lookout for errors, in particular with regard to dates and times listed for the sightings.

Also, we receive many reports from individuals who wish to remain totally anonymous, and who provide no contact information, something which always raises questions about a case. Consequently, we encourage visitors to our site to maintain a certain degree of skepticism over those reports, which are “flagged” with comments from the proofreader.

PUBLIC PRESENTATION BY PETER DAVENPORT

Peter has been invited by the Harrington, Washington, Public Development Authority to give a benefit presentation about his work in the field of ufology. The presentation is open to the public, and will be held at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific) on Friday night, October 30th, 2015, in the upstairs of the remodeled Harrington Opera House in downtown Harrington. Donations to the HPDA may be made during the presentation. More details are available on the Harrington, Washington, website. Peter will hand out material to attendees, one of which is this informal “short list” summary of some of the more interesting cases he has processed during his tenure as Director of the National UFO Reporting Center.

Peter will discuss some of the more interesting cases that have been submitted over the last week. One of the cases he will discuss is a report submitted by a former fighter pilot, who experienced a very interesting interaction in 1959 with a strange object over West Germany, while flying an F-86 “D” on a routine patrol in 1959. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON FRIDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 16, 2015

We have updated our website, with the posting of 186 new sighting reports, received by our Center since the afternoon of October 09th. Please bear in mind that those reports

We always recommend that people be alert to the possibility that a report may be flawed, or it possibly may be an out-and-out hoax. Flaws to be on the lookout for, in particular, are errors in the date and time of a sighting, given that many people fail to note that the date changes at midnight. Also, some of the reports, which indicate an time in the early morning, may be of the three prominent planets, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars, which currently are quite prominent in that part of the sky, until sunrise.

As you read the reports, please be on the lookout for flawed reports. Fresno, California, Thursday, October 09, 2015, @ 1005 hrs. (PDT): A husband and wife witness an estimated 30-40 peculiar looking, “dark” objects hovering in the vicinity of the Fresno-Yosemite Airport. Martinez, California, Thursday, October 09, 2015, @ 2300 hrs. (PDT): Two adults, a male and a female, report having witnessed a huge, triangular-shaped craft, which “blotted out” the sky above their heads. The male witness is a former member of the Civil Air Patrol, and also was a member of “NICAP,” a UFO investigative organization. Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 02, 2015

Following shortly after our website update on September 29th, we have posted another 67 newly submitted reports.

Included in the reports we post as of today’s date are a number of sighting reports from the evening of Sunday, September 27th, which occurred during the lunar eclipse of that date, and which initially were posted with times indicating sightings during morning hours. Our Center continues to receive intriguing reports of sightings that allegedly occurred during the lunar eclipse, and we would welcome any additional reports from witnesses to similar events in the U. S., and around the globe, for that date.

RADIO APPEARANCE ON OCTOBER 02ND, 2015

Austin, Texas, on Friday, October 02nd, 2015, @ 0436 hrs. (CDT): An adult male reports that as he was driving to work, the engine of his vehicle stopped, and all the lights on his instrument panel extinguished. The driver became aware of a very bright light, “many times the size of a full Moon,” which he photographs. After the object disappeared the witness was able to start his vehicle. Henderson, Nevada, Monday, September 28th, 2015, @ 2317 hrs. (MDT): An adult female, who describes herself as a helicopter pilot, reports witnessing a V-shaped/triangular object streak across the nighttime sky. Witness Report

Glen Ellyn, Illinois, on Friday, September 25, 2015, @ 2010 hrs. (CDT): Three family members allegedly witness a cluster of an estimated 10-20 orange lights move across the night sky, and disappear from their sight after approximately 5 minutes. Witness Report Photo 1 Photo 2

RADIO APPEARANCE

Peter Davenport, Center Director, is scheduled to appear on the Jeff Rense Radio Program on Tuesday night, September 29th, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Pacific). Jeff and Peter will host one guest, who, together with his wife, experienced a quite dramatic sighting of an object over Paso Robles, California, as they were outside to view the eclipse of the so-called “blood” Moon on Sunday night, September 27th.

We have posted approximately 135 new written reports, received by NUFORC since September 24th. As visitors to our website read the reports, we ask that they keep alert for flawed reports. We already know that there are several reports for the evening of September 27th which have defective times, indicating morning sightings, when in fact the sightings occurred during evening hours. Those flawed times will be corrected the next time we update our website. In the meantime, if a sighting occurred during the evening eclipse of the Moon, obviously it was an evening sighting.

FREQUENT REPORTS OF VENUS

Over the last several weeks, we have received many reports of the very bright object that is visible in the eastern, or southeastern, sky during the early morning hours. It is so bright that it apparently draws people’s attention, the moment they witness it, and atmospheric conditions can make the object appear to move and change color. However, the object is the planet, Venus, and it is not a UFO. We post this statement, hoping to reduce the number of telephone calls we receive over our Hotline, and the number of written reports, submitted using our report form.

REPORTS OF CLUSTERS OF RED AND ORANGE LIGHTS CONTINUE

For probably a decade or more, our Center has been attempting to call to the attention of the public the fact that sightings of clusters of red, orange, and yellow “orbs,” or “fireballs,” have not only been occurring regularly, but actually increasing in frequency. The recent posting of new reports appears to be no exception to this trend, and the phenomenon continues to attract our attention.

For the benefit of those visiting our site, we highlight below a few of the many “fireball” reports that we have received over the last week, and which we find to be particularly interesting:

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON THURSDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 17, 2015

We have updated the homepage, as of this date, with the posting of approximately 156 new sighting reports, received since the afternoon of September 11th. Because we are under time pressure on the posting date, we have done what we suspect is a slip-shod job of proofreading the new reports, so we encourage visitors to our website to be unusually alert to errors and hoaxed reports.

Ashland, Oregon, Saturday, September 05th, 2015, @ 2330 hrs. (PDT): During their third night of camping out in their family yard, two young boys suddenly become alert to the fact that there is an intensely bright, pulsating, source of light above them, and illuminating their tent. They peek outside, and apparently are seriously frightened to witness a brightly illuminated disc-shaped object above them. They race inside the house and alert their father to the event. Gibbon, Minnesota, Sunday, September 06th, 2015, @ 2100 hrs. (CDT): A husband and wife, out walking their dogs, become aware of a thin, dark object, which appeared to be located between them and a distant lightning storm. They quickly realize that it appears to be getting smaller, suggesting to them that it was moving almost directly away from them. The object appeared to move slowly into the mass of storm clouds. Mayflower, Arkansas, Thursday, September 10th, 2015, @ 2021 hrs. (CDT): Three adults witness a very bright white light move across the night sky, make several abrupt maneuvers, and then stop motionless in the night sky. The object appeared to display a complex pattern of blue and white lights. The witness reports that the power in the town of Mayflower was temporarily interrupted, until the object flew off and disappeared from sight, approximately 2 minutes later. Witness Report

We also would like to encourage visitors to our site to read the many reports posted for September 05th and 06th, 2015. NUFORC received 73 written reports for those two days. Many of those reports describe clusters of red and orange lights, which NUFORC has been reporting on for many years.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2015

We have updated our website, with the posting of 100 new sighting reports, received since Thursday, August 28th, 2015.

As visitors to our site read the new reports, we recommend that they be on the alert for reports that appear to be flawed, or which may be outright hoaxes. We have proof-read the reports as carefully as we can, but there is always the possibility that flaws have escaped out attention.

Oil City, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, September 01st, 2015, @ 2000 hrs. (EDT) – Two adult witnesses observe a peculiar-looking craft, seen maneuvering in the nighttime sky. The object is reported to have had both red and blue lights on it. Witness Report The witness also drew the picture to the right.

Hicksville, New York, Monday, August 31st, 2015, @ 2025 hrs. (EDT) – Two witnesses observe a cluster of at least 8-10 peculiar, orange-colored, lights, seen moving slowly, and silently, across the night sky. UPDATE OF THE MINNEAPOLIS, MN, CASE

We express our gratitude to the many individuals, who helped us solve the case of the “ring of lights,” which we featured in our posting of August 13, 2015. The lights do, indeed, appear to be the result of an advertising display of lights, projected into the nighttime sky, by a local casino. It is surprising to us that we had not received reports prior to August 09th, given that some witnesses claimed that they had been projected from that casino since long before NUFORC had received its first report about the display.

Alexandria, Virginia, Monday, August 24th, 2015, @ 0330 hrs. (EDT): Two witnesses are awakened by a peculiar buzzing sound, which seemed to be being broadcast from the sky above them. The sound slowly moved away. Witness Report

We wonder whether the formation might have been advertising lights, but some witnesses reported that some of the lights disappeared before the rest of them did, which seems to us to militate against their being part of an advertising display. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Friday, July 24th, 2015, @ 0505 hrs. (CDT): An adult male witnesses a very peculiar “fan-shaped” object in the morning sky, which appeared in the morning sky only briefly. During the short sighting, the object was seen to spread the top portion of the object, and then suddenly “snap” closed. The witness reports that he felt “humbled” by what he had just seen. East Providence, Rhode Island, Saturday, July 25th, 2015, @ 0048 hrs. (EDT): An airline pilot reports having witnessed an object hovering motionless in the early morning sky, with strobing red and blue lights. The object starts moving very abruptly, and then descends quite suddenly, and almost vertically. Witness Report

Spokane, Washington, Tuesday, July 28th, 2015, @ 1815 hrs. (PDT): An adult male, and his grown son, witness two very bright objects in the evening sky, almost directly overhead. Over the course of the next half hour, the two objects appear to move closer to one another, and drift to the southeast. Witness Report

(MDT): A group of at least eight co-workers, standing outside during a morning break, witness a gold colored object hovering motionless in the cloudless blue sky. Indialantic, Florida, Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015, @ 2300 hrs. (EDT): A group of 7 friends witnessing a disc-shaped craft hover over the water near a local beach for an estimated 3 minutes. Object suddenly accelerates and disappears in the night sky. Witness Report

Panama City, Florida, Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015 @ 2300 hrs. (EDT): A husband and wife witness a cluster of “fireballs” hovering in the nighttime sky. The objects suddenly “blinked” out, and then seem to have shown up in another area of the sky. Witness Report

Newport News/Hampton, Virginia, Tuesday, July 21, 2015, @ 2223 hrs. (EDT): A husband and wife exit a tunnel and both of them immediately see a triangular craft hovering nearby. After a few seconds, the object just suddenly shoots straight up into the sky. Witness Report

St. Louis, Missouri, on Friday, July 17, 2015, @ 1544 hrs. (CDT): An adult male was driving along a perimeter road on the eastern edge of the Spirit of St. Louis Airport, west of St. Louis, and reports witnessing a very bright object, approximately one tenth the perceived diameter of the Sun, hovering to the west of the airport. The witness is an aviation specialist, and reports that the object could not have been an aircraft. (Written report from the witness is pending.)
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 11, 2015, @ 2145 hrs. (CDT): Two adult witnesses observe a cluster of three orange lights drift across the nighttime sky. They captured the image to the right. Witness Report
Lamoine, Maine, on Wednesday night, July 08th, 2015, @ 2130 hrs. (EDT): An adult female looks out her bedroom window and sees an estimated 8-10 lighted objects, each about the size of a baseball, flying in a sporadic manner around her back yard. After a few seconds, the objects just suddenly disappeared, but they appeared a second time, a short time later. They disappeared again, but returned for a third visit. The entire event lasted an estimated 10 minutes. Witness Report
Germantown, Maryland, on Friday, May 15, 2015, @ 0945 hrs. (EDT): An adult male, driving on I-270, looked to the west, and witnessed three strange looking objects, flying very rapidly from his left to right. The two objects in the lead looked like railroad tank cars, but larger, he thought. They were being followed by a much smaller, dark-colored object, that appeared to be traveling at the same velocity, and in the same direction, as the other two objects. Witness Report

NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATE ON FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2015

We update our site again today, July 10th, for the third time over the past week. Since July 7th, NUFORC has received approximately 86 written reports, which now appear in our database of sighting reports.

Please note that there is always the possibility that some of the reports may be defective, for one reason or another, and that not all of the reports address sightings of authentic UFOs. Moreover, some of the sightings which were posted on past dates have been amended with updated information, so they may present different material than they did when they first appeared on our website.

Seattle, Washington, Thursday, July 2nd, 2015, @ 2157 hrs. (PDT): An adult male, while taking a photograph of downtown Seattle from the vicinity of Lake Union, observes a streak of light across the viewfinder of his camera. Upon inspecting the photo he had just taken, he notices two disc-shaped objects, seemingly caught in flight above Lake Union. Witness Report See photo at right. High Resolution

Wadley, Georgia, Monday, June 29th, 2015, @ 0128 hrs. (EDT): Enroute from their home in Georgia to their new assignment location in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a husband and wife report witnessing a bizarre looking, disc-shaped, metallic-appearing craft cross the highway in front of their vehicle. The husband, who has 15 years of service in the military, estimated that the object to have been perhaps as long as 250 meters in length. He also reported that it was “spewing” flames out the trailing edge of the disc. The object appeared to accelerate, ascend, and then it quickly disappeared in nearby clouds. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON JULY 06TH, 2015

We updated the NUFORC website just three days ago, July 3rd, but because of the large number of interesting reports we received over the July 4th weekend, we have decided to update again today.

In our last posting, we requested that people be on the lookout for anomalous lights during fireworks displays. Our request stemmed not so much from a condition of prescience or clairvoyance on our part, as it did from our experience over recent years with abnormally large numbers of reports on July 4th. For example, we received 273 reports for the date of July 04th, 2014, several of which are linked to below, in our last update.

Many visitors to our site may question our judgment on this matter, wondering whether the reports arise from fireworks displays. However, we have observed over several years that many of the reports for July 4th cannot be ascribed to that cause, and that appears to be the case with most of the reports we post for July 4th of this year, as well.

In our haste to post these most recent reports as quickly as possible, we have not devoted as much time to proof-reading the text of the reports as we normally do. Hence, many of the 170 reports we post on this date, which have been received over the past 72 hours, remain in the same “raw” form they were in, when they arrived at our Center.

We feature below a few recent reports that are exemplary of the many reports our Center has received over the last three days, which address alleged sightings of red, orange, and yellow fireballs. Often, the fireballs are reported to appear in clusters of up to 150 or 200 such objects:

Syracuse, New York, on Saturday, July 4th, 2015, @ 2130 hrs. (Eastern): Several members of a family, attending a local fireworks display, report having witnessed at least 30 orange “orbs,” over the course of two hours. Witness Report

Montpelier, Vermont, on Saturday, July 4th, 2015, @ 2150 hrs. (Eastern): An adult female reports witnessing an anomalous red light, which she asserts was seen maneuvering overhead for 20 minutes during the local fireworks display. Witness Report

Redlands, California, on Saturday, July 4th, 2015, @ 2030 hrs. (Pacific): Two adult females witness an anomalous red-orange light maneuver overhead for less than a minute, and then suddenlyinstantlyjust disappear. Witness Report

Marysville, Washington, on Saturday, July 4th, 2015, @ 2240 hrs. (Pacific): Two adults, as they drive south on Interstate 5 near Marysville, witness an estimate 11-13 anomalous orange lights in the night sky. Witness Report

For the last several years, our Center has received many credible reports of strange objects that show up, and linger, during fireworks displays. Lively, Virginia, September 29, 2012, @ 0650 hrs. (Eastern): An adult male witnesses a tube-shaped object, with strange lights and a transparent nose, hovering just outside his bedroom window. The strange object suddenly accelerated toward the witness’s home, and passed directly overhead his location. The next morning, September 30, 2012, a military helicopter passes directly over the same location, where the object had been seen hovering, at very low altitude. Witness is an academician. La Grande, Oregon, June 23rd, 2015, @ 0022 hrs. (Pacific): A female truck driver and her co-driver witness an intensely bright light ahead of their truck, as they are driving eastbound on I-84, near the Grande Ronde River canyon. As the object continues to approach their truck, they realize that it is not just one light, but at least four, which appear to be part of a “light bar.” The lights are so bright that the witnesses have to avert their eyes from it. The object passes above the cab of their vehicle, and disappears from the witnesses’ sight. Witness Report

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24TH, 2015

We have updated our database of sighting reports, as of this date. Approximately 104 new, and newly revised, reports appear in the updated website.

Please be on the lookout for flawed reports. We attempt to remove, or properly label, suspected hoaxes, or other flawed reports, but once in a while, they slip through our proof-reading process.

PETER DAVENPORT WILL BE OUT OF TOWN FOR A FEW DAYS

Peter Davenport, Center Director, will be out of town for the next several days, so he will be away from the Hotline. However, he will check the Hotline remotely, while he travels. He will make every effort to return telephone messages on the Hotline, but the responses may be delayed by a few hours. Nevertheless, we would request that people refrain from calling the Hotline, and instead, submit their reports, using our Online Report Form, found here on our website.

“PASSIVE” RADAR UPDATE

For the past many years, Peter Davenport has been discussing the possibility of using a “passive” radar system for the direct detection of UFOs in the near-Earth environment. Depending on conditions, a “passive” system could detect the presence of a UFO, and other targets, at a distance of thousands, or perhaps tens of thousands, of kilometers above the surface of the planet. For a discussion of Peter’s proposal, we would like to direct visitors to our homepage to the article he wrote in 2004, for presentation at a MUFON symposium in Denver in July of that year.

In addition, we include a link to a recent (June 15, 2015) article that appeared recently on BBC news regarding the use of “passive” radar for air traffic control in the U.K.:

The radar system discussed in the article would detect all targets that reflect electromagnetic radiation, and not just aircraft of terrestrial origin. The equipment, e.g. computers, GPS system, etc., are now available which will allow humans, for the first time, to detect directly the presence of UFOs in the near-Earth environment. We will discuss this subject again, in the near future.

NUFORC WEBSITE IS UPDATED AS OF FRIDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 19, 2015

We have posted approximately 112 new, and newly amended, reports, as of this date.

There is always the chance that there are flawed reports among those we post, so we urge visitors to our site to be discriminating, while reading those reports. If you encounter a report that you question, or which appears to describe an event of terrestrial origin, and it is not appropriately labelled, please call it to our attention, and we will address the issue, at our earliest convenience.

RADIO APPEARANCE

High Plains, Oregon, Sunday, June 14, 2015, @ 1230 hrs. (Pacific): Three young men, all roommates, witness a disc-shaped object, seen hovering near their residence in the daytime sky. Florence, Oregon, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, @ 0255 hrs. (Pacific): A U. S. Air Force veteran, recently discharged (Honorable) from the military, drives his wife, who is experiencing an asthmatic episode, to the north end of Florence, in order to get her in clear air. While on a rural road, in the hills above the Pacific Ocean, they both witness a pulsing, amber light hovering just above a nearby field. Full Report

Lombard, Illinois, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, @ 2153 hrs. (Central): An adult male, located near Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, who is a private pilot and quite familiar with all types of aircraft, hears a low-pitch, deep rumbling sound, emanating from the night sky. Although no object was visible to the witness, it appeared to be being followed by three military aircraft. Full Report

San Diego, California, Thursday night, June 18, 2015, @ 2236 hrs. (Pacific): An adult male, standing outside to watch an overflight of the International Space Station ISS), sees two small lights that appear to him to be in proximity to it, and pacing it. (NOTE: Satellite witnessed by witness may not have been the ISS, which would have been 15 degrees above the horizontal plane, during the overflight at 22:36 hrs. Possible sighting of a triplet of Chinese naval surveillance satellites, we wonder. We will investigate further. PD) Full Report

Eaton/Galeton, Colorado, Thursday, June 18, 2015, @ 2120 hrs. (Mountain): A husband and wife witness a hovering orange “fireball” in the nighttime sky. They manage to get a high-quality photos of the object, which can be seen to the right.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON MONDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 15, 2015

We have updated our website, with the posting of approximately 179 new reports, received since the afternoon of Friday, June 5th, 2015.

We have attempted to remove, or properly label, all reports that appear to us to be either hoaxes or cases of mistaken identity. However, there is always the chance that we have missed cases that should have been either deleted, or properly qualified, so we urge visitors to our website to be on the lookout for cases that have nothing to do with sightings of authentic UFOs.

PHENOMENON OF UNEXPLAINED “FIREBALLS” CONTINUES INTO ITS FOURTH YEAR

Although our Center has received reports of clusters of “fireballs” for at least the past 17 years, the number of such reports suddenly increased, beginning sometime during May 2012. We have no idea why this apparent change in the nature of reports, and if so-called “Chinese” lanterns can be ruled out, which we believe is typically the case, we then have no idea what the objects are. We post below a number of reports that will provide an overview of both the very early reports the Center received, over the past decades, as well as some of the more recent reports of the same phenomenon:

Rockford, Illinois, February 16, 2000, 2130 hrs. (Central): Many citizens from this city, including an FAA Air Traffic Controller, reported witnessing a cluster of peculiar orange lights. Full Report Similar sightings were reported for other dates, as well.

Carteret, New Jersey, July 15, 2001, @ 0030 hrs. (Eastern): Hundreds, or perhaps tens of thousands, of people were witness to a large cluster of yellow lights. The incident was reported by all major news media. Full Report

Tinley Park, Illinois, August 21, 2004, @ 2200 hrs. (Central): Many reports were submitted from Tinley Park and the City of Orland from individuals who described having witnessed a cluster of red lights, which slowly faded from sight. Full Report

Tinley Park, Illinois, October 31st, 2004, @ 2000 hrs. (Central): For a second time in ten weeks, multiple witnesses report seeing a cluster of slow-moving, red lights. Full Report

The reports of the “fireballs” suddenly increased in number, and dramatically so, in May 2012. In fact, they have been so numerous that they now constitute the majority of the reports submitted to our Center, during most calendar months. We estimate that over the last three years, we have posted approximately 12,000 such reports! Despite the large number of the reports we have collected, we have yet to arrive at a conclusion as to what the objects are. We provide below a few of the reports submitted during this early stage of the phenomenon.

Glendale, California, May 15, 2012, @ 2200 hrs. (estimate) (Pacific): A witness on the ground observes three red lights “play” with what appeared to be a law-enforcement helicopter. Full Report

St. Louis, Missouri, June 1st, 2012, @ 2100 hrs. (Central): A police officer and his wife, while driving to the south on I-55, observe a cluster of “glowing orange” orbs fly in front of their vehicle. The display apparently causes a major accident on the interstate. Full Report

Beacon Rock State Park, Washington, June 2nd, 2012, @ 2030 hrs. (Pacific): Multiple adult campers at Beacon Rock State Park, located 30-40 miles east of Vancouver, Washington, on the north shore of the Columbia River, witness approximately 20-30 glowing, orange “fireballs,” which approach from the west, and then turn north. Athens, Texas, July 5th, 2013, @ 2215 hrs. (Central): A former astronaut, his wife, and their adult daughter witness six red objects pass overhead at high speed, each following the path taken by the identical object ahead of it. Full Report

Glendale, Arizona, September 28, 2013, @ 1915 hrs. (Pacific): A retired Arizona Highway Patrol officer witnesses from his home, over the course of 5 minutes, an estimated 150 orange “fireballs” streak across the northern night sky, moving from west to east. Full Report

Friday Harbor, Washington, January 15, 2015, @ 1830 hrs. (Pacific): A retired architect and his wife witness a cluster of three orange lights above the Friday Harbor Airport. The objects hovered in the night sky for less than two minutes, and then suddenly accelerated to a blistering speed and disappeared in the northwest sky, last seen ascending at a steep angle. A recent, and quite dramatic sighting, during which the witness captured some high-quality photos with her cell phone, appears below. It is exemplary of the many similar sightings our Center has received over the last three years.

Arlington, Washington, June 06th, 2015, @ 2200 hrs. (Pacific): A businesswoman stops at the Smokey Point exit off Interstate 5 to purchase fuel, and witnesses a display of 10-11 bright orange lights to the north in the nighttime sky. NUFORC DATABASE OF SIGHTING REPORTS UPDATED ON FRIDAY, JUNE 05TH, 2015

We have posted 126 new reports, received by our Center since May 29th. We have proof-read all of the reports, but there is always the likelihood that some of the reports may be flawed. Hence, we recommend that as you read the reports, please be on the lookout for flawed reports and hoaxes. If you detect that a report may contain and error, please send a message to director@ufocenter.com, and we will review the report.

Visitors to our site will note that many of the reports state that photos were taken, using cell phones. We would post those photos, depending on their quality, but more often than not, the witness does not follow up by sending the photo(s). We cannot post them, if we dont receive them!

Also, of the photos that are forwarded to our Center, the overwhelming majority of them are of such low quality that they are not worth posting, we usually conclude. That fact explains why we post so few photos, to accompany their respective reports. However, some witnesses have pledged that they will forward their photos. If we receive interesting photos, we will post them, sometime soon.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, MAY 08, 2015

Approximately 140 newly submitted sighting reports, submitted to our Center since April 30th, 2015, have been posted to our website, as of this date. We have proof-read all of the reports, checking for errors and hoaxes, but there is always a possibility that we may have overlooked some even obvious errors, so as visitors read through them, we encourage them to be on the lookout for flawed reports and errors. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on Thursday, May 07th, 2015, @ 2315 hrs. (Eastern): A young adult male reports having witnessed an oval-shaped orange object, the apparent size of a full Moon, in the eastern sky, moving slowly from north to south. The object appeared to have stripes of orange light on its sides. Full Report

Spring Hill, Florida, on Thursday, May 07th, 2015, @ 2115 hrs. (Eastern): A husband and wife witnessed an orange, oblong-shaped object move across the night sky, traveling from north to southeast. Full Report

Santa Rosa, California, Wednesday, May 06th, 2015, @ 2330 hrs. (Pacific): A woman looks out her bedroom window and sees what appeared to her to be an orange ball of light. The light radiating from the object appeared to pulse with a regular frequency, and the orange color would darken, in sympathy with the pulsing of the intensity of the light radiating from the object. Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Saturday, May 02nd, 2015, @ 0925 hrs. (Central): An adult male witnesses a silver colored disc, against a clear blue morning sky, as it streaks to the south above his car. The duration of the sighting, the witness estimates, was less than two seconds, during which the object covered an estimated 60-80 degrees of arc. Full Report Illustration 1 Illustration 2

Fairfax, Virginia, Thursday, May 07, 2015, @ 2000 hrs. (Eastern): A husband and wife witnessed a peculiar, round, stationary, brightly illuminated object in the nighttime sky. They observe the object with binoculars, telephoto camera lenses, and a telescope, and later determine that the object probably was a weather balloon, or “radiosonde.” Similar object reported from Fallston, Maryland, for a sighting there at 1830 hrs. (Eastern). Full Report 1 Full Report 2 Photo of Object Photo of Radiosonde NOTE: We include these two reports, not because we believe they are related to the sightings of a genuine UFO, but rather, because the incident illustrates how a motivated witness often is able to investigate a sighting of an unidentified object, and answer, to his own satisfaction, what the object was. Based on the photos, and on the investigation by the source of one of the reports above, our assumption is that the object was, indeed, a radiosonde/weather balloon.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON, APRIL 30, 2015

We have updated our website and database with the posting of 107 new, or recently amended, sighting reports.

Given that we almost certainly cannot detect and remove all of the errors and hoaxed reports, in the course of proof-reading them before posting, please be on the lookout for defective reports, as you read through them. If you encounter what you believe is a flawed report, please copy the link to the report and send it to us at director@ufocenter.com , with an explanation of your thoughts on the case, and we will look into the matter at our earliest convenience.

CORRECTION: On April 8th and 17th, we posted reports from two witnesses, who reported a cluster of tiny white objects seen moving in the nighttime sky above the cities of Kamploops and Lake Williams, British Columbia. However, we have been apprised by Mr. Ted Molczen, a volunteer with the SeeSat-L group of volunteer satellite trackers, that the objects were probably fragments of the “Dragon” 2nd stage rocket of the Falcon 9 supply capsule, which had been launched just a few hours before the sightings. We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Molczen for sharing the information with NUFORC. We would like to note here that the three witnesses described the objects they had witnessed in perfect detail, for which we compliment them. They reported having witnessed at least four tiny white objects, possibly more, two of which were quite noticeably larger than the others. That is almost exactly what several of the SeeSat-L ground observers reported, as well. The larger objects are thought to have been the shrouds around the satellite, which were jettisoned from the satellite, once it had exited the Earths atmosphere. Full Report 1 Full Report 2

Green Valley, AZ, Monday, August 12, 2015, @ 1330 hrs. (Pacific) – A heavy-equipment operator witnessed a very bright light approaching his position at high velocity, and he had the presence of mind to take two photos of the object with his cell phone. Lordsburg, NM, Thursday, January 15, 2015, @ 0230 hrs. (Mountain) – A trucker sees a very peculiar object being hauled westbound on Interstate 10, which appeared to straddle the two lanes of the highway. We strongly suspect that the object has nothing to do with the UFO phenomenon, but the incident was so interesting to us, and the quality of the witness’s illustration was of such high quality, we have decided to share it here. If anyone visiting our site witnessed the same object, we would welcome a report. Full Report

Dalton, New Hampshire, Tuesday, April 14, 2015, @ 21:30 hrs. (Eastern): Two individuals report witnessing a cluster of golden colored objects, seen hovering in the night sky. Witnesses allege that the objects were pursued by jet aircraft. Full Report 1 Full Report 2

Superior, Wisconsin, Tuesday, April 14, 2315 hrs. (Central): Four adults report witnessing approximately 8-12 white lights, forming a “V” formation, streaking across the nighttime sky, and below solid overcast. Full Report

Glenmora, Louisiana, Thursday, April 16, 2130 hrs. (Central): An adult observer reports witnessing several very bright white lights, some with peculiar lights on their ventral surface, move across the night sky. The last lights seen by the witnesses suddenly ascended, and disappeared in the night sky. Full Report

We have updated the NUFORC website, as of this date, with the posting of 142 new reports, submitted to our Center since Thursday, March 26, 2015. The time we have available to us for proof-reading the reports was considerably less than we usually devote to that task, so please be on the look-out for flawed reports and hoaxes. We have intercepted several of what we believe were “April Fools” reports for April 1st, but there may be others remaining among the ones we have posted. If you encounter a report that you believe is flawed, or which may be an attempt to contaminate our database with a hoaxed report, please send us a link to the report, we will review it, and deal with it appropriately.

(EDT) – A adult male, sitting on his couch, reportedly witnesses a blue/green fireball streak across the night sky, and disappear from view behind a neighbor’s house. Arlington, Oregon, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, @ 1155 hrs. (PDT) – An adult female reportedly witnesses a strange-looking disc-like object descend out of the morning sky, hover approximately 10-15 feet above the Columbia River, execute a 360-degree turn, and then suddenly accelerate and disappear into the clouds to the northwest. We have updated our website database of sighting reports, as of this date, with the posting of 91 recently received reports. As you read through the new material, please be on the look-out for flawed or hoaxed reports. If you encounter a report that you believe is, in some way, flawed, or is probably not a description of an authentic UFO, please send us a link to the report, and we will review it. Some of the cases that caught our attention are the following:

Lisbon, Portugal, Sunday, March 22, 2015, @ 2100 hrs. (local time) – An adult male photographs a nearby castle, lowers the camera, and sees two clusters of lights in the nighttime sky. The lights appear in the photo, as well. The witness reports that he was outside, at the time of the sighting, thereby ruling out the possibility of a reflection from the inside of window glass. (NUFORC NOTE: At the time of this posting, we are considering the possibility that the lights may be lens flares, caused by pointing a camera at a very bright source of light. Washougal, Washington, March 25, 2015, @ 2000 hrs. (Pacific): A mother and her children sense a vibration, coming from directly above their house, which causes their house to begin to vibrate. They rush outdoors, to see what the source of the vibration might be, and they see nothing, although they can hear the apparent source of the sound recede slowly to the north. Lansing, Michigan, Friday, March 20, 2015, @ 0400 hrs. (EDT): An adult female, who is a medical professional, was awakened by the fact that her house was shaking, or vibrating. Shortly after having been awakened by the shaking of her house, the witness noticed also that her bedroom was being illuminated by an intensely bright light from outside her house, which also caused her to experience the sensation of warming of her skin. Witness later reports that her laptop computer was defective, and that the keys on the keyboard were somewhat “scrambled.” Full Report

Moore, Oklahoma, Friday, March 20, 2015, @ 0052 hrs. (CDT): Several young adults witness a strange white flash outside their home, soon thereafter, followed by a second similar flash, which caught their attention. Moments later, they observed an extremely bright flash of “teal green” light. Full Report

Norfolk, Virginia, Wednesday, March 18, 2015, @ 2344 hrs. (EDT): A man witnessed a cluster of approximately 20 tiny lights, which changed positions relative to one another, and formed a V-shaped formation, as they moved across the sky and disappeared behind nearby trees. Full Report

Stavropol, Russia, (east of Caspian Sea), Tuesday, March 17, @ 0030 hrs. (local/estimated): A massive, blue flash occurred, which was visible from at least as far away as 280 kilometers. Witnesses thought that the flash had been caused by neither lightning, nor a meteor, although no definitive conclusion had been reached, at the time news reports were being broadcast by the local news. Fereydunkenar, Iran, (south shore of Caspian Sea), Thursday, March 12, @ 0500 hrs. (local): Local residents reportedly witness a prominent “fireball” crash into the Caspian Sea. They report that the local military apparently was activated in response to the event, and that they closed local beaches. Full Report

Burbank, California, Thursday, March 12, @ 1008 hrs. (Pacific): An adult male, while driving to work, allegedly witnessed a triangular craft, flat-black in color, hovering in the morning sky. Full Report

Stillwater, Minnesota, Thursday, March 5, 2015, @ 0414 hrs. (Central): Two adults, making morning deliveries, witness a strange looking, black triangular craft, hovering in the morning sky. Florence, Oregon, Monday, March 09th, 2015, @ 2035 hrs. (PDT): A grandmother and her grandson witness a bizarre, “stubby” disc-shaped craft, with an antenna-like structure and an extremely bright light. Within seconds, the craft drifts over nearby trees. Baltimore, Maryland, Thursday, March 12, 2015, @ 2130 hrs. (EDT): An adult male witnesses a cluster of from 9 to a dozen amber colored lights, seen maneuvering relative to one another. Full Report

Kenosha, Wisconsin, Friday, March 13, 2015, @ 0730 hrs. (CDT): An adult male witnesses a tube-shaped, metallic looking craft, fly through approximately 40-60 degrees of arc, in approximately 15-20 seconds. Object appeared to have no wings or engines visible. Full Report

We have updated our database of UFO sighting reports by posting 187 new reports, submitted to our Center since February 20, 2015. Please be on the lookout for flawed or deceptive reports.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2015

We have posted approximately 115 new, and newly revised, sighting reports, which were received prior to noon on Friday, February 20, 2015. The reports have been reviewed for obvious errors and hoaxes, but there always remains the possibility that we have overlooked some reports that may be flawed. Consequently, please be on the alert for reports that appear to contain errors. Certainly, not all of the reports we have posted relate to sightings of “bona fide” UFOs, many of which we have labelled as prank reports, or cases of mistaken identity.

Some of the many reports that we found to be exceptionally interesting are the following:

Walburg, Texas, Thursday, February 19, 2015, @ 09:40 hrs. (Central): A man and wife were driving north on Interstate 35, between Austin and Dallas, when they witnessed two white, tubular- shaped, objects pass across the highway in front of them. The objects appeared to the witnesses to be flying in a “nose to tail” trajectory across the sky, and they disappeared within approximately 20 seconds in the eastern sky. Full Report

Arlington, Oregon, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, @ 11:55 hrs. (Pacific): As a woman is driving west on Interstate 84, in the vicinity of Arlington, OR, her attention is captured by a peculiar “roaring” sound off to her right side. She glances to her right out over the Columbia River, and witnesses a metallic looking, circular, disc-shaped craft descend to within an estimated 15 feet of the surface of the water, maneuver and turn to the north, and then shoot up into the daytime sky, to the northwest of her location. The whole sighting lasted an estimated 12 seconds. Witness plans to submit an illustration of what she saw. Full Report

Mt. Shasta, California, Monday, February 16, 2015, @ 22:30 hrs. (Pacific): A Captain and 1st Officer of a commercial airliner see two very bright, stationary lights in the night sky above them. The Captain estimates that the lights might have been at 100,000 feet, or higher, and they seemed to him to be stationary. After approximately a minute from the first sighting of the objects, they simply extinguished, and sequentially disappeared from the witnesses sight. Full Report

Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, @ 15:00 hrs. (Central): A young woman, who elects to remain anonymous, reports allegedly having been witness a very strange sound, which seemed to emanate from the daytime sky. She claims that two military jet fighters passed overhead, and she surmised that they might have been related to the strange sound, which continued even after the fighter aircraft had passed overhead. Witness asserts that approximately a dozen power transformers had “blown up,” causing a large power failure in her area. ((NUFORC Note: We will attempt to confirm the power failure, at a later date. Approximately 86 reports, submitted to our Center since February 6th, have been posted to our website, as of this date. As you read the reports, please be on the lookout for flawed, or hoaxed, reports. If you detect an error, please send a note to director@ufocenter.com, and we will re-examine the report.

Bristow, Oklahoma, Monday, February 09, 2015, @ 0758 hrs. (CST): While driving her daughter and granddaughter to school, she glances up into morning sky, and realizes that there is a line of tiny, white, lights, all in an almost perfectly straight line, passing beneath the Moon. She glances back at the road, and then back at the cluster of lights, as they continue to course generally to the north and northwest. Full Report Witness Illustration

Port Orchard, Washington, Wednesday, February 11, 2015, @ 0230 hrs. (PST): A young man is awakened from sound sleep by a peculiar “throbbing” sound. Upon awakening, he realized that the electrical power in his home was apparently fluctuating. The sound became louder still, at which time the power failed completely. He noticed electrical anomalies in his house later that morning. Full Report

We have updated our database of sighting reports, with the addition of 115 new reports, submitted to our Center since January 30th. We have proof-read the new reports to the best of our ability, but there is always the possibility that some of the posted reports may be cases of mistaken identity, or hoaxes. Hence, we encourage visitors to our site to be alert for the possibility of defective, or misleading, reports.

Peter will discuss a few of the more interesting cases that have been reported to NUFORC, over the last week, to include some of those that follow below:

Tempe, Arizona, Sunday, February 1st, 2015, @ 1940 hrs. (MST) – A young woman reports having witnessed a distinctly triangular-shaped craft in the nighttime eastern sky, flying from south to north. She reports that the object executed a very abrupt turn to the west, and then appeared to accelerate noticeably. The object appeared to the witness to follow Interstate 10, taking it either over, or near, Sky Harbor Airport, and in the direction of the Super Bowl football game, which was in process at the time. Moreover, the witness reports observing two military fighter jets apparently pursuing the object, which were flying in a direction to intercept the object.

San Jose, California, Sunday, February 1st, 2015, @ 2030 HRS. (PST) – While sitting in an outdoor hot tub, facing south, an adult male witnesses a bright red “fireball” pass slowly from his right to left (west to east). He reports that the first object was followed by another nine, seemingly identical objects, which appeared to follow the course that the first object had followed. Full Report

Woodstock, Georgia, Monday, February 2nd, 2015, @ 2115 HRS. (EST) – A husband and wife witness a prominent red orb approaching their home from over a nearby line of trees. The two witnesses stand and watch as three more identical objects pass overhead and disappear over the opposite tree line. Full Report

Atlanta, Georgia, Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015, @ 0645 HRS. (EST) – A woman reports that she, her son, and her daughter were driving to work, when they allegedly witness a strange-looking object in the morning sky. The attempt to photograph the object, and apparently inadvertently photograph an alien creature, standing on the roadway in front of their car. Full Report Alien Image 1 Alien Image 2

NOTE/CAUTION: We have spoken with the woman who submitted the report and photo, and she sounds to us to be both sincere, and serious-minded. She claims to have seen the creature, at the time the photo was taken. However, the photo has not be authenticated, and we post it here with a considerable degree of apprehension, not knowing whether it is an authentic photo, or whether it might be a hoax. We are aware that there are some “spam” programs, which are capable of embedding “spam” images of aliens in photos taken with some types of cell telephones. However, we post the photo, nevertheless, believing that if it is authentic, humanity deserves to be aware of the sighting incident. We have requested that sighting reports be submitted by the other witnesses, who allegedly also witnessed the creature, at the time.

NUFORC WEBSITE UPDATED ON JANUARY 26TH AND 30TH

We have updated our database of sighting reports, on both January 26 and 30, posting approximately 350 new, and newly amended cases. Approximately 800 reports have been received, and posted, by NUFORC during the month of January. Some of the reports have been proof-read in only a hurried and cursory manner, so as visitors to our website read them, we suggest that they please be on the lookout for errors, and for reports that are obvious hoaxes, or cases of mistaken identity, e.g. reports of stars or planets.

Some of the more interesting sighting reports that have captured our attention are discussed below:

Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington State, Thursday, January 15, 2015, @ 1830 hrs. (PST): A man and wife, both experienced pilots, while driving near downtown Friday Harbor, witness three distinctly orange objects in the northeast sky, which appeared to be approaching the witnesses location. The objects stopped, and hovered for a short period of time, at which time, all three objects appeared suddenly to accelerate, and ascend at high speed into the northwest sky. A news article about the sighting was written by a reporter, Mr. Dennis Box, and published by the San Juan Journal, in which the husband was interviewed about the sighting. Several other credible witnesses, who also allegedly had witnessed the objects, contacted the newspaper, and may submit additional reports to NUFORC. Full Report

Murrels Inlet, South Carolina, Tuesday, January 20, 2015, @ 2100 hrs. (EST): An adult female witnesses curious looking lights in the southwest sky, which immediately attract her attention. Within one minute, the objects approach her location, at which time she can see that they are three identical, triangular craft, each with a red light at the nose and, green and white lights on both sides of the craft. Anacortes, Washington State, Saturday, January 24th, 2015, @ 2330 hrs. (PST): Two sets of adult witnesses, at different locations to the east of downtown Anacortes, see a cluster of approximately eight yellow lights, split into two separate groups, in the western sky. NUFORC HOMEPAGE UPDATED ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2015

We have revised our database of sighting reports with the posting of approximately 390 new, and newly revised, reports. Approximately 355 of those reports have been received by NUFORC since our last posting on December 22, 2014.

PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS, AND ILLUSTRATIONS

he last several weeks, NUFORC has received quite a number of interesting graphics, both photographic, as well as artistic, which pertain to the reports we have posted, as of this date. We are sorting through the collection, and expect to post some of the most interesting, and convincing, examples, within the next two days.

To whet peoples anticipation of some of the photographic evidence we have received recently, we post below four photos that were sent to our Center by a current member of the U. S. military of a sighting that reportedly occurred at approximately 22:00 hrs. (MST) on Monday, December 08, 2014, above an undisclosed military site in New Mexico. RADIO APPEARANCES
