Floating morphing, color changing object.

My friend and I were walking to the gas station to get some cigarettes and snacks, and on the way back he pointed up at something in the sky. It was just like a morphing shape of color. It changed colors at a slow rate between different shades of blue and purple. Then after a minute and a half, it faded away.
