Lights hovering in night sky, early morning.

I was sitting in my bed and I looked out my window to look at the moon, my cat started growling as I got closer to the window, and out of the corner of my eye i saw a couple of lights just hovering there and i took a closer look and i realized it wasn’t moving. It was at airplane height it was just there. It went off into the night sky after about a minute. The color of the lights were white, gold, and silver. As it flew it left a trail of a translucent white.
