saw light in the shy that slowly dropped, and quickly vanished off to the left.

Seen driving by JFK airport on the way to work. beautiful day, and no clouds in the sky. saw a bright light that looked like a star around 8:51am. it froze then slowly dropped south in slow motion, and took off and vanished to the left of my vision. then nothing.
