Star like which had flashing lights in the Western sky over Barefoot Bay, FL.

Distant star like, flashing red, green, white and yellow in the western sky. Another, smaller star with a similar light pattern was seen lower and to the right. My friend said she has seen this for the past few weeks. What the heck is it?
