Me and a friend witnessed a ball of light moving intelligently before suddenly vanishing.

It was close to sundown, no stars out as it was still just a little too bright. I noticed what I at first assumed to be the 'North Star' next to a cellphone tower, moving rapidly down. I told my friend who was driving to stop the car, and she pulled over. We watched it lazily keep moving down, assuming it was helicopter. We couldn't hear any noises, and noticed the lack of other lights and an outline. It moved to the left, grew brighter and then disappeared.
