Hoovering oval object in Portland, Oregon.

I opened my door to let my dog outside and the sky was clear with some overhead clouds and it was silent. I looked at the sky to my amazement I saw an oval hovering object with a very strong light. After gazing at it for a few seconds, I became very lightheaded and went to lay down.
