It happened while waiting for the school bus to arrive. The sun had not come up yet, and it was still fairly dark. I noticed an amber light that looked similar to a military flair. Then in an instant there were two more lights (all of which were flickering or unsteady light). They were positioned above a mountain known as pilot knob, they couldn't have been more than a mile or so from me. The silhouette of the mountain was visible enough to realize they weren't falling like a flare.

As I'm watching these they began to go out one by one. As the last light goes out, a similar light appears above a friend's house. This shift was in an instant.

The lights began to re-appear above my friends house in the same type of pattern as seen with the Phoenix lights several years later (only a little tighter of a circular pattern). The lights stayed above the house until about when I was being picked up by the bus. Then, they began to go off one by one in no particular pattern. Again, as the last light goes off, a light appears over Ave D (about a half mile away) in an instant.

I remember the bus driving undrneath the lights, they glowed bright enough to see a glow on the ground. I don't remember seeing anything structurally between the lights nor do I remember any noises. I do remember it did move from when we went under it to when we turned around and drove back out to were we had originally past under it.
