Green cylindrical light during a thunderstorm.

During a thunderstorm, some friends and myself were on the way to a friend's house. One of the passengers, and myself, saw a green light, which stretched into a cylinder and slowly fell toward the earth, disappearing behind the tree-line. There were strong winds during the storm, but the light fell in a perfectly straight line toward the tree-line.
