Shape: Light
Characteristics: Aura or haze around object, Emitted other objects

Multiple lights in the sky, very high altitude, erratic behavior.

Last night at approximately 23:30 EST I was outside looking directly above and noticed in the very high altitude night sky what looked like strange lights moving in an erratic manner. There appeared to be an aura or haze around the object(s) but it was very faint. There was one bright light (looked like a star) that at times grew so dim it couldn't be seen at all, then seconds later was bright again. There were several other lights coming out of the primary one and moving around it very erratically, almost playfully. They would move slow, then fast, then fade out and return. There was no pattern to this at all. Sometimes there were as many as 7 or 8 of these lights moving around the primary light.

At one point, one of the lights shot off incredibly fast to the north-east, it reminded me of a shooting star. It lasted for over an hour and I could no longer see any lights in the area where I viewed them before. Somewhere around 00:30-01:00 was when they disappe! ared. I tried to take a picture/video but they were not bright enough to capture and all that appeared was blackness. I'm curious to know if this was an atmospheric anomaly or if I was genuinely seeing something that may be extra-terrestrial. I'm a bit of a skeptic and like to rationalize things but this was hard to explain.
