Steady, orange light, moving across the sky and flickering off.

A steady, orange light, brighter and slightly larger than typical for a plane moved north across the eastern sky. Ten seconds after observing it, it became smaller and dimmer and flickered off and on before disappearing. Atmospheric conditions were very clear. We do not know how long it may have been observable before we noticed it.
