When driving on a back road we noticed an orange "ball" like light in the sky. It was an absolute clear night and the ball was at the altitude of an airplane however it did not move for 5 minutes. We took our eyes of of it for a second because of trees and then it was gone.

It was a bright orange and we thought it was a light on an airplane but it did not move.
