Shape: Light
Characteristics: Electrical or magnetic effects
Repeating flashes of light across the low NE sky, with no clouds, no rain, no weather.
Location: Sedona and Cottonwood 9-21-14, 6:45pm.
I was hiking at dusk in Sedona, looking Northeast and there was a big flash across the sky in the low horizon.
8:20pm. After stopping for dinner, I returned to my car to make the drive South to Cottonwood. There were more flashes of light in the same region of sky. I could see them in my mirror and out the driver’s window, depending on the curvature of the 89A.
Once back in Cottonwood I continued to watch the Northeast sky. There have been two more bright flashes in the last 20 minutes.
Notably, there are no clouds in the sky. I checked the weather report for Flagstaff and there is a 0% chance of rain.
