White light split into two white lights

5 of us were fishing on a dock in Lake Carolina, When all of the sudden a red dot was seen Over the trees. We watched it as it turned to a Red light and then turned into a bright white light Which then split into two bright white lights, then Returned into one bright white light.

Then disappeared into thin air.
