orb or throgsneck bridge

Sometime in the late 1960's probably close to 1966 my family of 6 were traveling north on the throgsneck bridge just prior to sunrise. We were traveling to PA in the family station wagon and in the car were my parents, my sister, 2 brothers and myself. I believe I was about 6 to 8 years old, my sister was about 12 years old and my brothers were a year younger and a year older then me. The traffic was light and the sky was clear and bright enough that the cars did not need to have there headlights on.

When we were probably about 2/3 of the way across the bridge, my entire family other than my parents recall seeing an extremely large light green glowing orb hovering above the bridge and so close to it that we all remember my sister screaming because she thought this orb was going to hit the bridge and knock it down. This entire sighting lasted probably no longer than 10 seconds and no one remembers observing this orb flying away as it just seemed to disappear.

An explanation as to why my parents who were in the front seat did not observe this orb is possibly because my sister and I were seated in the far back of the station wagon which were rear facing seats and that orb did not appear until we were 2/3 of the way across the bridge and it was behind when it 1st appeared. My parents remember everyone screaming and yelling about what we had seen and they clearly remember the incident.

This orb had no distinguishing marks and the entire family agrees that it was not the moon or the sun. As for the size of the orb, I would say at least 300 yds in diameter and I might be underestimating it by quite a bit. The distance that it was from the bridge I would estimate 300yds or maybe even closer.

This incident was never discussed again until about 20 years later at a family reunion when someone brought up ufos and for some reason we all remembered the incident like it happened yesterday.

Without a doubt there had to be numerous other witnesses to this sighting because of the clear day, the size of the object and how close it was to the bridge.
