4 red/Orange balls in a kite tail formation over the road

I was heading home from work at 12:15am on 1/1/14 in las vegas heading towards Henderson. When I was half way there there were these 4balls of Orange/red light in a kite tail formation hovering over the road. I wanted to see them so bad and still not reck hah. I did drive right under them and they looked like they were literally made of fire or something they also looked like liquid like they didn't have soiled edges ....
