|3 white lights flying over the East Coast just above the cloud ceiling moving like birds in formation
I was sitting on my balcony with a friend close to the ocean looking up. There was mild cloud cover. Cold and clear for the most part. I noticed what I thought at first was a shooting star. It was a small round white light slightly larger and a little more dull than the other stars visible. After a few seconds, the other two lights came in to view. From North to South, over the coastline. They flew low just above the cloud ceiling, at a pace faster than a jet in the distance, and much slower than shooting stars. They flew in an interesting almost chaotic pattern. They were in a kind of formation that resembled birds, randomly moving about each other occasionally. This lasted approximately 15 seconds before they flew south and out of sight. They did not make any noise. I pointed them out to my friend when as soon as I saw the first light, thinking it was a shooting star. I followed them with my finger until they were out of view, but unfortunately she did not see them. I was pretty speechless.
