|Intensely bright light sphere high up in the sky over the Gulf of Mexico
When leaving USF Tampa campus and heading West on Fowler road, I saw a extremely bright light sphere in the sky about ~30 degrees South when facing West. I watch carefully. I got on to I-275 Southbound and it remained there in the sky all the way home. IT WAS STILL DAYLIGHT! No stars visible and planes do not fly this high up...planes were flying in the sky at the same time as for a good scale. When I got home in south Tampa, it was just getting dark and it was still there, really bright like as if a flashlight was pointing at my face (it wasn't not a flashlight, just to be clear!)
I waited outside until my girlfriend got home and I made her look at it. She said "WOW!" She then pulled out her "Google stars and sky map" (The one that shows you stars, planets, and constellations), she thought it was the planet Venus. However, I doubt that. I thought maybe the International space station, but doubt that too because of how bright it was. I then went inside for the night.
