Ball of green blue swirling colours falling vertically first then shot horizontally then went out or just disappeared

The object fell vertically to the left front of my vehicle and paused ever so slightly, (about a second, just long enough that I could see the swirling colours of green and blue) roughly 10 feet above the ground.

I started to tap my brake as it was coming down because it was falling so fast and got larger as it fell (a little bit larger than a softball). I thought it was coming right in front of my vehicle where I might hit it.

Then it shot horizontally straight forward from me and went out or just disappeared. It was round but as it shot forward it looked as though it had a bit of a tail like a comet.
