3 bright colorful lights, flying wild off each other. Playfully? Clear night, very visable, great view

From Hwy 5, driving north, Sac’s old train station to Arco arena, 3 maneuvering lights, very bright, one white, one blue/pink, one very unusual purple. Flying in a bobbing pattern off each other, speedy and low, very clear and very visible. How could nobody else have seen these? It was a clear and cold night. The lights were very bright and attractive I thought at first it was light show but no clouds. These lights were controlled, very fast, very close and low in the sky. Just above the buildings of the city and brighter than any city lights.
