A flash then bright star then disappeared then reappeared in the east sky with out moving

I was outside just looking at the stars as it was very clear.

As I looked down at the Horizon I noticed a flash in the corner of my eye.

As I looked back there was a bright star.

I knew it wasn't there before so I kept watching it and it slowly got dimmer.

This was between caph and Aledramin .

Then 10 min later it popped up again and did the same thing but this time it was a round Alhena.

It was very bright. I thought it may of been a helicopter but there was no sound no movement and it was up in the sky.
