burning ball with tail,like a comet, turning from brite white then blue to brite green

I was driving on I 40 east approx in the 72396 zip code at approx 2130 hrs when I saw a brite white light with long tail falling fast from the sky.

The light or fire changed from white to blue then turned green before it burned out.

I saw this from my drivers side window, toward the north eastern sky.
