Four bright ornge lights flying in a wave like pattern emmiting other smaller orbs.

It was an evening on the first day of the new year and I was suddenly compelled to climb up onto my roof (there were a lot of fireworks going off) I watched for probably a minute when just over the horizon of a nearby mountain I noticed 4 bright orange orbs (in the east) floating just above the horizon which were flying in a wave like pattern. The second one from the front of the group of orbs dropped two smaller orbs (which descended behind the mountain) soon followed 3 bigger orbs from which they were dropped one of them flew away in a south east direction. Over a period of 15 minutes three more separate orbs flew in the manner only not together and 3-4 minutes apart(also diving behind the mountain). During the minutes that followed I saw a multitude of orbs one by one coming from a southern and eastern direction. A little while later from the southern direction a triangular shaped object flew in easterly direction whilst turning on its axis(on each corner! was a orange orb) I saw nothing else after that.
