I noticed 6 or 7 constant red/orange lights low on the horizon behind the trees. they were flying one after the other evenly spaced towards the south-west. The lights were low in the sky and I had difficulty determining the distance.

They gradually faded as if heading into the cloud cover. There were no sounds that I could hear.
