A bright object sighted above our house that moves back and forth slowly and hovers.

A bright circular object has been sighted in the airspace above our house. It has been hovering for at least an hour. It slowly moves from left to right, stops, slowly moves up and down, and seems to hover in a circular pattern. The object made no sound.
