|Fireball seen over Buena park area around 8pm 8/11/11
Driving westward from knott & 91 freeway, noticed fireball hovering slightly above house and then peaked up approximately 75'; this was just west above the berry tracks. Object was flying in a north eastern pattern floating up like a balloon.
It was so close and so brilliant, my wife suggested it looked like the inside of a hot air balloon except it looked like entire thing was filled with "fire".
Its body appeared fabric-like in the sense that it rippled here and there like a blanket would when you unfold it out to lay on, so no, it did not seem like it was a solid object. Yet it just kept floating up, higher n higher, but initially it seemed to want to retard it's initial ascent. Finally about 150'-200' it made a steady climb until it disappeared into the clouds.
I stopped and pulled over about 30 seconds into this event so i could record with my iPhone. The only time I've seen a specialist, yet peculiar, color like that is with high voltage sparks in experiments. So radiant, yet soft & dense, fluid-like almost....
