Extremely large black triangle silently hovering with three round lights in each corner on the bottom seen very up close

I am a 52-year-old registered nurse who saw very close up a large black triangular UFO hovering just west of interstate 15 in Salt Lake City where it passes by downtown Salt Lake City at approximately 6th North exit location. It was huge, I would guess the size of a city block, with multiple matte black projections over the top and three large dim round maybe slightly dome-shaped (white, if I remember correctly) lights in each corner of the underneath only. There were no lights on the edges of the craft, nor on top unless they were tiny lights on top near the multiple uneven texture of the top. The top of the craft which I could see from a higher elevation on the freeway as I rounded the mountain range from the I-15 freeway as it entered Salt Lake City near 6th North is where I first saw the object and was able from that vantage point to see that the top of the craft was matte black in color with multiple projections all over the top, but the projections were not near as aerodynamic as the science fiction Extremely large black triangle silently hovering with three round lights in each corner on the bottom seen very up close

I pulled off the highway and got out of my car to look at it without taking my eyes off the cars in front of me while driving. I was hoping other witnesses would soon join me as I continued to look up at this huge object in the sky, but cars just continued to speed by, apparently nobody else noticing what I was seeing or curious about why I was looking up at the sky. It was just after sunset, dark and yet clearly visible because it was so close and almost directly above me, lit by the city lights and the three round lights, where I pulled over and got out of my car. I could hear no sound made by the object over the slight sound of many cars rushing past so close by to me. It continues to hover silently over me without moving, without blinking, without changing anything the entire time I observed it.

After about maybe fifteen minutes of staring up at it, I gave up hoping someone else would witness it with me. I regretted not having my cell phone with me or I would have called police to see it. I didn't dare try to catch anyone's attention from the passing cars, fearful of causing an accident at those speeds if I tried to wave somebody down. So I got in my car and went home, watching the news later for any mention of anyone else seeing a UFO like what I’d seen, but heard nothing so I never reported it. I decided since it was so easy to see because of its size and location and so much traffic and so large a population directly underneath it in downtown Salt Lake City, I decided it must be something from our military since I didn’t see any military craft at all in the area, which is also by the way so close to the Salt Lake City airport that it must have shown on their radar so that’s why I assumed the airport radar people and local air force radar in Layton weren’t paying any attention to it, so that's why I decided nobody else was thinking it was extraterrestrial.

However, it so happened that within the next year I happened to go out on one date with several men I met through internet dating sites who happened to work with top secret NASA or air force projects locally through a company called ATK (used to be Morton Thiokol) and another guy worked at area 51 before retiring whom I dated a few times, who gave me a copy of a video that shows him with a top secret aircraft before it became declassified (so I believe he knows top secret aircraft). I told him about what I had seen and one other guy too, but they told me that our military has nothing like what I saw, "nothing that big that can hover silently". The one who worked at area 51 who is himself a pilot with his own airplane told me I might have seen something called Aurora. "Sounds like you saw the Aurora but that is still classified." However, I have in the last day gone online and viewed photos of hundreds of triangular shaped crafts and the photos of so-called Aurora and I have seen nothing that looks like what I saw, except for other triangular-shaped craft with a round light in each corner, but none of those look like what I saw. What I saw, I’m also sure is NOT the TR-3B because the top of what I saw is so very different from all internet photos of the TR-3B I've browsed. I don’t recall any light in the center of "my" triangle either. I also don't remember "my" triangle having rounded corners, but sharper corners from the TR-3B images online and it was more equilateral triangle than the Aurora photos online, much less aerodynamically stream-lined on top than Aurora photos.

I am embarrassed to say that I never wrote down the date of this incident, thinking I would never forget it, but unfortunately I have forgotten even the year of this sighting. To fill out this form, I was required to estimate and exact date but I do not know at all the date within a period of a few years nor even the exact season or time except that it was well dark and it was warm enough outside that I don’t recall feeling cold while I watched outside my car, and I remember clear roads all the way on my drive home from visiting friends in Ogden that evening, coming into Salt Lake City just as night was falling. I cannot believe that no one else saw it because it was so huge and there hovering in one place for so long in great clear weather! So that's why I'm trying to find out if anyone else saw it that night, to help me figure out what the exact date was. I’m certain that the date of my sighting was after Spring of 2004 because I know I was divorced when I saw it. I know I saw it at least three years ago. That’s all I can say for sure. I’m also pretty certain that I did not "lose any time related to this sighting.
