unexplained lights

looking to the west from Littlerock we saw what looked like a red/orange mylar baloon floating about 6 feet off the ground in the distance. The object became brighter and slowley gained elevation. The object began to emmit a long orange tail but the actual craft was unseen. The object continued to gain elevation traveling to the east eventually leaving a cont trail. At a very slow speed the the object turned south and disappeared only to re appear a short time later still emmiting a long orange trail and second cont trail.
