brigth orange globe that became four objects.

surf fishing on topsail beach n.c. Thought i saw moon coming up over the ocean. I did not really pay attention to it,I thought it was the moon. Then i noticed the moon much higher and then watched the object. It appeared to move slowly north and the became four smaller objects. It was very bright orange. All four oblects appeared to move very slowly north and went behind clouds. I know we are near a military base but this was strange.
