object moved in circles and had green and red lights that created star burst or arrow looking signs moving slowly

never saw anything like this before. Less than a few hundred few from ground sounded like a helicopter but move oddly and had star burst light of green & red making very different types of signs from arrows to star burst. it circled my over my home a couple of time and then headed north east. It lasted at least two to three minutes.
