|Large greyish rectangular object with brighter outer qarters then center strip of light fading slowly from top to bottom.
I was driving south on Bard Road toward Coleman, Michigan in a rural area. It was about 4:45 p.m. on a Friday late afternoon. The sky was overcast with low dark clouds with a hole in the clouds on the right side. The sun was showing through the clouds and there was light illuminating a large rectangular shape that was below the low clouds.
The sun light showing through the opening of the clouds was at about 2:30 in the sky. The object was to the left and center of this below the clouds.
The rectangle shape was huge. It was at an angle with the top part somewhat back and the lower area forward to me. The outer quarters of the rectangle were brighter but no distint light showing. The edges were distint with the corners showing a definate angle not at all curved or fuzzy. After observing it for about a minute and a half the center area of the rectangle became less light like a dark strip formed from top to bottom. This area faded slowly. At this point it looked like two separate long rectangles. I was able to observe this for for about another minute and a half before I drove into the town of Coleman and the trees and city house began blocking my view.
Just before Coleman city area I drove up over a bridge over highway M-10. It was at this time the light in the center began to slowly fade. The rest of the rectangle remained the same. There was no noise and no movement of this object while I was observing it. The only things on the ground under this were trees and homes. No large parking lots or fields that had flood lights reflecting upward.
My 10 year old grandaughter was in the back seat. I asked her to look up and tell me what she saw. She told me the very same thing that I observed but I had not said anything to her about what I saw.
Later I asked her to draw me a picture of what she saw and tell me again. I did not tell her what I observed and again she told me exactly what she saw at the time of the incident. Her picture was exactly the same as what I had seen.
