Explanation of possible sightings in Los Angeles

This is not a UFO report. This is an explanation.

There is a cessna type airplane slying around Los Angeles which has been fitted with and LED light scroller on the underside across it's wings for advertising purposes.

The scroller can display a variety of shapes, which, from a distance, may appear as stand alone shapes, and from certain angles, the airplane with the scroller on may appear as a lit up saucer with a light on top.
