strang ball of light that got really big then really small an took off

i was standing on my front porch and i looked up at the sky about aproxamitl a mile out i would say their was a big ball of light that was moving very slowly across the sky as it was moving it started to get smaller and smaller then it got really big again an took of super fast in the opposite direction. a few minutes befor i sceen this their were to millitary air craft flying one behind the other it was strange
