Star like object moving randomly within 5 degree box on the horizon.

Saw one star-like object for 15 minutes; viewed on horizon, just above ridgeline in a mountain valley. Object flickered from white to red. During 15 minute observation, object moved randomly from right to left, upwards and downwards within perhaps a 5 degree box in the viewing area.
