| just nipped outside on the decking for a cigarette and noticed a bright orange fireball to the east. my partner witnessed this also. the object travelled towards me [westerly] glowing brighter and brighter before backtracking to the east getting dimmer and then finally vanishing. The whole thing lasted only 2 minutes from when I saw it but perhaps had been in the sky for longer. However, I believe it was a 'chinese lantern', the most probable explanation and am merely reporting to see if anyone else witnessed this and their take on it. |
