star-like light, moved accros the sky and faded away.

We were in the car and I looked out of the window and was looking at the stars, when I noticed one was moving slowly. I followed it with my eyes and it grdually got faster and moved futher across the sky. Then after a miniute or so it faded away. It looked just like a star, but bigger and brighter. I have see the thing once before except it went the oppersite direction.
