A bright green fireball flies, then disappears in Wisconsin.

On Friday, February 22, 2008, while driving from Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Wausau, Wisconsin, I saw something very unusual. It was only for a brief moment, but I saw a bright green fireball, about the same size as the moon looks from Earth, fly past me from the south going north. After about half of a second it just disappeared. The best way I can describe the object was like the glow of a firework on its ascent before exploding. What was really strange was that the object had no trail of exhaust or smoke. It was also completely silent, or at least quiet enough so that I couldn’t hear it over the sound of road noise.
