| object seemd to sense it was being observed. Hi, I have only now found this web site. There is a report from Montreal therein reporting a sighting of a dissapearing object. this is very similar. My now wife and I had just got out of our car and I just happened to look up a the night sky, as it was extremely clear. I noticed a very bright object high up in the sky above a very calm sea. My partner also saw it. It was still at first, maybe a small side wobble or two. It then seemd to know it was being observed as it started rising, slowly at first then seemed to accelerate, there was nothing else in the sky. As it rose higher it diminished in size, I am no scientist but I believe that objects moving away from you at light speed turn red 'red shift', this is what happened to this particular object as it moved away from us into space. The object soon dissapeared. We saw this again in a different location on a different date. I believe in strange phenomina, my wife does not but has never disputed what we saw.
