Bright Green Light appears suddenly and falls from the sky

I was lying down in bed and trying to fall asleep. I had my curtains open and was looking at the sky. In almost an instant I saw a bright green light drop in the sky. I at first thought it was very strange but then convinced myself that it was a shooting star. My sister came to me tonight to tell me about the exact same thing that happened to me. She said she has seen it several times.
