it was changing colour , zig zag pattern, rapid upward travel.

the object was a huge light changing colour from yellow to green to blue. it was flying in zig zags going down then up very fast. it went on doing the zig zags for about 5 min then it went up and down and kept doing this for another 10 min then it went up really fast and did not come down.
