|Light streaked across the horizon faster than any jet aircraft.
I don't know the exact date this happened but it was in 1975. I was touring as a guitar player with a country music act coming back to Nashville from a show in New Mexico. I was riding 'shotgun' and the bass player was driving the bus across the Utah desert. The land was very flat. Approximately 3am I saw a light streak from left to right across the horizon. Through the large bus window it was a spectacular sight. I said nothing and the time. About 10 minutes later the driver said, "did you see that?" and I said, "what was that?" He said, "I don't know but there ain't no planes that can go that fast." We never talked about it again but I have recounted the story many times over the past 29 years. It was not a shooting star because it was going horizontal. Shooting stars fall. This was not going down it was going left to right across the horizon.
