|Exceptionally bright object noted in the western sky at approx 8PM, which dropped below horizon after 1 hour.
object spotted low in western sky. extremely bright, larger than planets, stars, and passing air craft. when observed through low power amateur telescope, object almost filled the scope. looked like a spherical, opaque membrane, with a light rectangular shape attached beneath. object was so bright that it appeared to twinkle when seen with the naked eye. moved from center of sky to below horizon during the course of approx. 1 hour. observed by my husband, myself, and our 8-year old daughter.
((NUFORC Note: Probably Venus, which currently is visible in the western sky during the early evening. PD))
