Fireball above Spokane Airport

This was not a UFO sighting, but a huge fireball in the sky, close to the ground. It was the largest meteor I have ever seen (by at least ten times), or it may have been a sattelite. It appeared out of the left corner of my eye as I was driving in the dark, bright enough to draw my attention away from the road. It appeared to be directly over Spokane Airport, or possibly to the south of the airport.
