NUFORC Sighting 31581

Occurred: 2003-09-18 21:00 Local
Reported: 2003-09-19 06:37 Pacific
Duration: 40 minutes
No of observers: 2

Location: Mono Mills (Orangeville Area) (Canada), ON, Canada

Shape: Oval

Two oval circles splitting into four at times

We witnessed what first appeared to be two oval lights both circling each other. The two oval lights then appeared to 'double themselve' and break into four at times and become two again very quickly. In some areas of the sky it was cloudy, but we noticed that the lights would continue on, whether they were on top of the clouds or on the clear portions of the sky, so we concluded it couldn't have been 'lightning'. We also concluded that the sophistication of the movement patterns at times were too controlled to have been spots of lightning, as the lights would go in perfect cirles at 180 degrees from each other, and then one would catch up with the other and they appeared to almost be dancing. The colour of these objects was white and we watched them for forty minutes, before retiring. I don't know how much longer they were were visible after that. My friend is quite a skeptic around these matters, so for her to have seen them as well proves I wasn't 'seeing things'.
